Eh, the entire Pikachu player base for Melee consists of one player basically. Ryu is better then Pikachu in Sm4sh. Pokken I dunno though since I don't really know shit about what competitive gameplay for that looks like.

I dunno, we'll have to wait and see on SFV. and I'm pretty sure Pokken's performing relatively badly even in Japan so I mean.. I don't think that'd matter much anyway.

There was like a 45 minute line to play Pokken in every single JP arcade when I was there recently. I am going back in May, so I'll see if that has changed.

Edit: Though this pales in comparison to the Gundam game. There was literally a queue on the bigscreen to wait in line to play. To note, each arcade had about 40 head-to-head cabs for the damn game too.

It is just EVERYONE goes to Taito or Sega depending on the game. Arcades there are everywhere and FILLED with people to the point you can barely move around half of the time. Oh, and the shit is between $1-4 USD to play too. Pachinko is usually on the first or basement floor, which is a billion dollar industry, as well. It is just an issue of monopolization by 2 very large companies eating up the mom and pop shops.

No, they did not.

Eh, Persona/KoF XIII not being in makes sense. The scene for those is completely dead at least in NA, and unlike something like Pokken/Tekken 7 which have the potential to grow, those games have long since reached their peak.

BB you could make a case for, but I think most people if forced to choose between BB or GG would choose Revelator.

How about Persona gets the current version in Japan released to console before we even put that up for consideration?

BB would be rough because it's not known if we're getting Central Fiction in time for EVO (ASW needs to fix their damn release schedule. Sign was perfect). Best you have right now are Nesica cabs at certain Round 1s.

It actually doesn't play that bad (there's some questionable decisions thus far, like floaty jumps and EX moves being tied to MAX bar), but Jesus the visuals. It looks better in person, but even then.
