Touching or plugging into the front I/O ports on my PC causes the GPU to short out

I've been having this issue for a while now. Any time I attempt to plug something into the front IO ports (headphones, mic, and USB) or even touch them with my hand, it causes my displays to go black like the GPU has shorted out. I have to reboot my system for them to come back up.

At first I thought it was an issue with the front I/O hardware on the case. However, I recently got a new case and the issue is still ongoing. To my knowledge, I have everything wired up properly.

Anyone have any ideas I can try?

Unplug where it connects to on the mobo, and plug it back in. Reseat gpu, etc too. Might be a short somewhere on the mobo of reseating doesn't do anything, or maybe on the gpu or front panel.

Could try hooking up only the audio and see if it still does it, and same with the usb. If its the usb you could also try another header on the motherboard if you have one.
