So what's so bad about Quina's spear? I thought it was cool with shell/protect on one piece on a character that can full break.

Mostly because for those who wants most buffs, there is not alot of SB that give haste but doesn't give Pro or Shell, and there's already alot of gear that give protectga SB

I guess it's a good combo if you happen to have Eiko's flute, even better if you have Amarant's claw

Also as a support I think Tyro is better with SG, but to each their own Also if you have Amarant claw you kinda waste 50% of both SB since both gives shell

I really can't be bothered to level Amarant but I do use shell more than protect, which makes him better than Edward.

Jack and shit. Well, I did get some 4* Heavy armor from FFVI to combine and make a 5*, so there's that I guess.

That's how I try justify it but the festival banners coming just before FFT is what makes it a pain in the ass.
