My only real beef with individual event threads is they're temporary. And unless one personally needs to know something, they'll probably go unread once they personally finish. Guess I'll agree that drop luck isn't much substance, so a second thread for that's cool.

Pretty much any questions related to certain events you can find all the answers on the official RK site with testimonials. Most just use this thread like some livejournal, which isn't good or bad but I don't know if a subforum would see full use. Although there are some with barely any traffic and they still are there so idk.

I'm honestly not sure which style I like more (one megathread, or multiple smaller ones). I was debating about making a thread for all dungeon updates and seeing how that goes. There's advantages and disadvantages to both. I don't have a problem with them being temporary since they'll just make their way to the bottom, and some bosses do make an appearance again later although in a diminished capacity usually.

One thing I don't like about megathreads is that for them to be utilized best, the OP should be updated on a regular basis imo.

Multiple smaller threads feels more organized and easier to manage to me, tbh. Can have the central OP with strats and whatnot for those who havent been playing the game for a year, and then discussion/personal achievement etc all consolidated in one place. Main thread for discussing upcoming events and general meta strategies. Pull thread for making other people feel bad.

Works for me really.

The SE section is pretty dead most of the time anyway. Once every few weeks or even months we'll get an update on KH3 or FFXV or etc, etc. So I don't really see the big deal. And this coming from a guy who doesn't play Record Keeper
