Rebellion Against Fate ++

Boss: Manasvin Warmech (~215100 HP)

• Defeat Manasvin Warmech without being KO’d.
• Win without Lightning being KO’d.
• Exploit Manasvin Warmech’s weakness to lightning attacks.
  
  The only thing that will be painful is its Wave Cannons which can’t be mitigated, in which case you just have to heal through it.

Recommended abilities: Breakdowns, Protectga, Shellga
Recommended RW: Lunatic High, Boon, Sentinel’s Grimoire, Stoneskin


A Crushed Dream +++

Boss: Cid Raines (~222400 HP)

• Defeat Cid Raines without being KO’d.
• Afflict Cid Raines with Slow.
• Win without Lightning beiing KO’d.
  
  Metamorphose happens at ~60% instead of 50%.

Recommended abilities: Breakdowns + Full Break, Slowga
Recommended RW: Sentinel’s Grimoire, Stoneskin, Boon, Lunatic High


Invitation to Despair 【Ultimate】

Boss: Barthandelus (~164700 HP)
Adds: Adornments (~60400 each HP)

• Defeat Barthandelus without being KO’d.
• Win without Fang being KO’d.
• Win without Lightning being KO’d.
  
  You cannot target Barthandelus until both adornments are destroyed. Pauldron absorbs the elements that Ailette is weak to, and vice versa, so be careful which you're targeting. They resist all other elements. Barthandelus now also counters your actions with a Dispel-all.

Recommended abilities: Breakdowns, Shellga, Protectga
Recommended RW: Sentinel’s Grimoire, Stoneskin, Lunatic High, Boon

I know he wrote Lightning is needed for boss rush, but just to add, lightning is needed for all 4 of the boss fights. So you cannot say "oh i'll eat 3 medals by not bringing lightning" IF you don't bring lightning that'S automatically 12 medals lost

Maybe if you have SSBs... Considering the only good SBs I have are LH and Princess' Favor, it's not going to change anything for me yet unless I want to spam Sonic Blade (or w/e Cloud's standard SB is called).

Made the change for boss rush. And yeah, the new meta comment wasn't meant as a "everyone will be able to do it" kinda thing. Similar to the mage meta that we've had for a while. Not everyone can do it, but you'll see a lot of people using it.

No prob. I'm honestly a little worried about this Ultimate fight. Was looking at my equip and I don't have much XIII synergy, and I'm used to running a mage meta which I won't be able to fully do this time.

Carbuncle can help alot on this fight

1) so the adds reflect on them (they only do single target nukes)
2) So you can nuke yourself back on bart to bypass his dispel counter

So sounds like Carby, Boon, and AoE heal will be the base for setups? Use mages to bounce spells rather than melees who may trigger counter. If not boon, maybe Shellga. With his physical attack it seems like you may want all forms of mitigation (Protect, Shell, wall).

You'd still have to use Fang in some way though. Lightning can use 3* BLM if needed, but Fang can only use physical abilities. Guess I'll have to watch some videos later.

Guess I'll try build SB's and blast through it. 165k isn't a lot of HP if you can get 2-3 SB's off uncountered with PP and RS.
