New DU is out, not gonna write up anything for this one unless people want me to. Link to Megathread on Reddit.
skull dragon is a complete asshole.
Skull dragon is an ass, but it is susceptible to paralyze. Bringing intimidate for the stun lock trivializes the fight.
good to know for when I do the elite
Man, working on my elites. Fuck this D: 130-140 trash... -_-; More annoying than the actual bosses.... I went into Wendigo with 1/12 Curaga. Still mastered... but jeez.... Thank God for Princess' Favor. -_-;
Yea, getting through all of the trash is most of the challenge. The vast majority of the bosses have absolutely no sort of breakdown resistance, making them a complete joke
Elite boss starting to have break resistance but nothing super dangerous
Think one had power breakdown resist this batch? Wouldn't jump to calling it a trend just yet.
But yeah, elite trash can be a pain. IV sucked by virtue of numbers even if the mobs weren't individually dangerous. VI is pretty bad with those mechs that can do 2k+ AoEs. XII trash was simply annoying due to blind/silence (seriously, who carries status cures...). And the Gulug trash in IX could hit pretty hard, too. Just enjoy the S/Ls if you get hit with something unfavorable. Only boss that really gave me issue with this batch was the bone dragon, but that's just lunarsaurs 2.0 with hoping your team doesn't get status raped.
Bone dragon can be paralyzed. Makes it easy.
Most annoying dungeon was the FFV one with the gargoyle and nereid, it wasn't hard but. Killing them at the same time kinda sucked
Agrias and Wakka SBBs were MVP for that for me.
Gargoyles pissed me off.
Gargoyles were more annoying because if you didn't stop them, their revive was instant
While Nereid you had a small delay to finish the others if you didnt kill them all at the same time
I still have 73 elites to do to finish everything /cry
Gargoyles/Nereid weren't too bad if you went in with an AoE heavy party, but my V synergy isn't terribad anymore. Have a melee with Bladeblitz and the most damage/materia you can put on them. Bring a summoner with Ifrit/Shiva and Spring II so they can be helpful with trash in between. Then a nuker with Quake and Meteor, pick your poison of Esper or Spring. Healer for healing and then your 5th for someone who's got a good soulbreak or can ST since your summoner will heal one of the imps depending. The trash mobs aren't too bad, even though they can be numerous. But that's what the summoner's for.
The most annoying boss in this DU was the damn FFXII wyrm; motherfucker kept spamming his bad breath(spore or w/e it's called) shit and had my team on lockdown. I still managed to clear it on the 2nd attempt but it was annoying having my entire party wrecked with debuffs.
Yeah same here. I wasn't prepared at all for the elite because the classic didn't do this to me. I knew about intimidate and the scull dragon but didn't know until I got there that this one was so bad. Had to laugh though, my entire party confused and whacking each other and the wind for so long.
That's why i always use the FFRK website before doing dungeons
for wyrm just go mage PT
I went Tyro with sleep/dispel
and rest with mostly AOE spells
Sleep Boss ASAP then AOE everything to kill the adds, when adds are dead dispel shell on boss and nuke kill it
Reapply sleep
