First Detailshttp://www.wired.co.uk/article/juras...w-sequel-hints[It will not be] just a bunch of dinosaurs chasing people on an island, that’ll get old real fast. I feel like the idea that this isn’t always going to be limited to theme parks, and there are applications for this science that reach far beyond entertainment. And when you look back at nuclear power and how that started, the first instinct was to weaponise it and later on we found it could be used for energy. And this isn’t something necessarily that was in the book but is a seed that I wanted to plant in this movie, is that might be able to grow in more of these movies if they decide to make more of them, is: What if this went open source? It's almost like InGen is Mac, but what if PC gets their hands on it? What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?
So basically Resident Evil but with dinosaurs.
Rafe Spall (Life of Pi / Prometheus) & Toby Jones (Harry Potter / Captain America) added

Jeff Goldblum to make a Cameo appearance

always need more Jeff Goldblum
JW felt like a pointless, half assed reboot. I'm ready for this franchise to die so we can all recognize the first JP as the only movie that really mattered.

Goldblum cameo as Grandmaster, takes dinosaurs with him, Savage Land confirmed.
All action/thriller movies are fairly pointless. They're only meant to be entertaining. The first JP did bring to the public consciousness the idea of reviving animals from old DNA (though it's not actually possible with dinos anyway, at least not currently) but aside from that it was just as pointless as JW. Nostalgia goggles etc.
I was fairly entertained by JW and I like Crisp Rat so I didn't find it too terrible as far as these types of movies go.
I'm holding out for the Jurassic Park reboot, where we travel back to Earth's Jurassic period and find brilliant dinosaur scientists creating a theme park filled with genetically engineered mammals. Horror ensues after they learn how to open doors.
So....they built the dinosaur park that went terribly wrong before on an Island with an active Volcano? Seems like a sensible corporate decision to me.
I hope there's more to the movie than this. I remember reading a discussion about using the dinosaurs for war, putting DNA on the black market, etc. That at least sounded somewhat interesting.
