Anyone here have pokebank and can tell me if I can trade between gen I and gen I?

For Gen 1 trading need local wireless trading with another 3DS. Pokebank won't work with gen 1 till Sun/Moon and even then, its just to move them to gen 7.

Back when I ran a GS store it was fucking awesome for battling and trading Pokemon especially when they'd do the mystery gift Pokemon stuff. I used to give out gift cards if people could beat me at my own "gym". Seriously though; you don't always need local friends to trade with, you can meet people.

lol, the guy at my local TRU was cool and gave me 3 of each so I can "sell to my friends". He even wanted to give me more when I asked when the next event was...

Does that "over 10 new pokemon" include megas? Two are possibly new legendaries, one is the bird from the trailer. Maybe three new starters. There's six already. Not sure if that includes Megearna or whatever.

My excitement went to shit with that statement. =(

You realize that it was probably a joke comment yeah? 11 is over 10. 100 is over 10. 1 million is over 10. It'll probably be a decent amount akin to what the other new games introduced new Pokemon numbers wise

Gen 6 only introduced around 80-100 new pokemon, right? Without new types introduced though, I can't see it being below that number. Every other gen was at least 100.

This may just be me with lofty dreams, but does anyone else think we may go back to Kanto (at least in part) as a Red/Green 2? Like how silver was Kanto + Johto, what if Sun/Moon was New Zone + Kanto?

Just starters alone is 9 Pokémon, then the guaranteed 2-3 legendaries (and I'm underestimating here a lot given how many we had in the latest installments), and you start with 11-12. I'm sure it will be at least 50, but probably not more than 100, they mentioned that there was already to many Pokémon back in XY, as the reason they added less than in previous versions.

Folks flipping over a throwaway comment on a discussion where there isn't really much news is the norm nowadays anyway.

I just can't wait until we have all of the 'super secret, totally leaked, totally not fake starters' that'll kickstart here soon enough.
