I'll say it again, honey is a great investment. It's free, 200g+ every 3 days. Build 20 or so and use it to sustain growing the rest of your farm.

Also, do the bundles as early as possible. Their benefits are huge.

Fishing is a great early money maker also, I was routinely bringing in 2-4k a day on rainy days where I didn't need to water my shit :D

Fishing was hard at first, but it's capped now, and making me roughly 8k a day, Crab pots everywhere, Cork lures and bait, and both fish price increase perks for more money, I'm at the end of the first year and I really haven't grown shit yet lol, I wanna change that this next year, since I haven't touched the pantry bundles in the community hall yet.

How do you get started with bees? Do you need to meet some criteria in game to unlock access to it?

I pulled the trigger on this last night and all I want to do is go home and tend to my farm. Fishing was a little rough at first but eventually I got the hang of it, good supplemental income for when you are done with your farm for the day and need something to do. I went out mining as well but the immediate payoffs aren't that great. If you want to farm money for more seeds or a backpack for instance you are probably best off fishing I guess?

Bee Houses (Silly name) are unlocked pretty early. Check your crafting thingy.

Foraging early in the month, fishing, artisan goods and quests are super easy ways to make money. The first year kinda sucks most of the time for being able to progress in the Mines or unlock other stuff.

Go to the Mine on rainy days.

You can get a horse eventually. I like the speed. It makes the timing system work perfectly. Going places is an investment of time. Also, you should fix the mine carts.

To be fair, I only played for like 30 minutes. Fallout 4 still has a solid hold on me until I wrap it up. Long-ass game.

Planted an Apple tree at the end of Spring so that it would be ready by Fall and by the 11th day in Summer it was missing. Wtf could have happened to it?

my bet is crows. if you don't have scarecrows up nearby, crows may come and eat your seeds, maybe crops too, i dunno. i do know that those bastards eat seeds though.

That is possible, it was probably far enough away from my scarecrow to not have protection. Possibly some grass or something grew up around it and I forgot to check, wonder if that would kill a sapling or just slow it's maturity. Either way, 4000g flushed down the toilet. Will try again in the Winter as I believe trees will grow then.
