Far as glorified filler episodes go, I'd probably give it a 7/10. I'd say the only new thing to really be gleaned from it is a bit of All Might backstory.

You gotta go into all shonen jump movies just expecting them to be nothing more than glorified filler episodes. Very very rarely do they actually contribute to the actual main story and add any character progress.

I think the Kimetsu no Yaiba movie is an incredibly rare exception in that regard, considering it's a movie that's an actual arc from the manga. I don't think any other single jump manga with an anime and movies has done that

The KnY movie hasn't been released yet, but we know for sure that it's the next arc in the manga.

And yeah, I guess you're right with the new Super movies. But none of the prior what? 13 or 14 movies or however many there were before Super started were considered canon to the manga Toriyama himself actually wrote and drew.

Ever since MS went down, i've had a hard time keeping up with the manga, what is the best place for this now? A lot of the ones i've found are hit and miss with the translation.
