Meh, saw the movie on sunday. Lacks all the charm of the Lego movie, one of the worst movies Iv seen in a long time.
Please, go on.
Not gonna lie, that trailer might have sold me on Ninjago
Honestly, the best bits are in the trailer. It's not really funny, it drags on, my kids and wife didn't enjoy it..... it was just bad!
Just got back. They kept a huge part of the 2nd half secret and I'm quite impressed. Movie is amazing.
Better Batman movie than the DCEU will put out.
Enjoyed it. I can agree pacing-wise it dragged a bit. Jokewise, the most awesome Batman movie ever.
Judging by how many of my friends on FB are saying they took their kids to see it this weekend and how all of them are saying it was great leads me to believe this movie is gonna make a shit load of money.
Was definitely a great movie.
They made a movie for adults first then for kids.
Just got out. it's so well made and looks amazing. The movie does a great job at balancing comedy for both adults and kids. Loved the first half, but I think the second half were the movie lost it's steam. I started to feel the time and just wanted it to end.
Still I had a good time. it basically made up for awful adaptation of The Killing Joke.
Ask your nerd friends.
For a movie designed ultimately to sell product, the end result is a pretty good spin off the LEGO movie. Maybe not as original or impactful it manages to strike a good balance between adult and kids entertainment. Ultimately it drags a bit long but the density of jokes and easter eggs is impressive and it entertains in spades. So many references are coming at you it's difficult to keep up with them all.
I kinda wanted to see the RL element we had in the LEGO movie.
What was more distressing were all the bad trailers for upcoming kids movies. Nut Job 2, Smurfs search for a tired franchise, Despicable Cash in 3. Really?
I'm glad they left the real life stuff out.
They kind of left the real life stuff out, but they still referenced the fact that the entire movie was driven by a kid with an active imagination (the city is built upon two plates, the shooting SFX being done with human voices, etc.) If there's a certain population that enjoys watching the Lego movie with their kids for the Sci-Fi references and jokes their kids won't get, there might be another population that enjoys watching it because of how meta it is.
Anyway, best movie I've seen so far this year. I thought it was a little worse than The Lego Movie, but it was still funny.
I liked this movie. But there were three of us, and we all fell asleep at different points in the movie in the middle of the day....
