Just saw this thread. Looks a lot like Zoids (if anyone remembers that show?) was my first thought haha.
But looks half decent, might give it a go though.
Episodes still aren't accessible to those without netflix QQ
When it comes Netflix's animated shows, Netflix has recently been splitting up season orders(26 episodes) into two different seasons in order to have a decent amount of episodes as fast as possible. It’s a bit annoying, It also means that, there are more episodes to come later on.
The real question if it will be renewed for a 3rd and 4th season(Season 2).
Yeah. very enjoyable story and the animation is ridiculously good. Korra CGI stuck like a sore thumb, but Voltron is seemly done.
Will I enjoy this if I know nothing about Voltron but liked Avatar/Korra?
Not that it matters too much, I'll probably end up watching it anyways since basically all of my shows are ending soon or ended already.
You definitely don't need to know anything about Voltron to enjoy this, you just won't get the little nods to the original.
Yeah it's a stand alone story in a completely different universe. Like deft said the most you'll miss are the subtle references.
That Evangelion reference with Pidge in ep 10.
A lot of anime references.Shit I must've missed it, what part was that? lol
You can also see references to the god of action Yutaka Nakamura and his famous cubes style/pol action.
That fart scene is episode 1 was amazing lol. I also noticed Roy Folker from Robotech
I've seen gifs of this show a few times and it's piqued my interest, but I have no idea what it's called. Can anyone help me out?
I wanna say that's Darker than Black
