Is there no provision in these contracts that the players have to make an attempt to stay in game shape?

The Giants tried by having him work with a personal trainer during the offseason. I honestly think they tried to make that provision as supposedly the Giants offered more money but Sandoval felt disrespected, then went as far as saying the only two people he'd miss is Pence and Bochy.

If he's active, June 7th and 8th is going to be glorious in SF when the Red Sox come to town.

This frustrates me. I mean, Sandoval obviously doesn't care anymore. Dude cashed his check and he's on the road to irrelevancy now and I can't imagine being a Sox fan with this guy around. I understand why the union is around but thinking about the possibility of them defending this guy when he's had literally 2 years to fix something, ANYTHING, about his issues is just crazy talk to me. I guess this is why I wouldn't be good at anything baseball related other than being a fan.

Just to add on, I know I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but the image that guy is portraying right now is just a slap to the face of any current or future MLB player ever. Some people NEVER get this chance and he's just pissing it away on burgers and milkshakes.

I liked Laurie but he had no off switch, he was just 100% amped at all times. Got himself hurt a lot and you're useless if you're not in the lineup.

His sister would have been better to have on the team. He was mega injury prone. iirc he took a dl stint, came back, and was healthy for about 4 days before going back on the dl.

Since they've gone and won 4 straight. Not that I read too much into that because I'm pretty certain this MLB roster is Bottom 3-4 at the best.

The whole plan to blow up to team must really frustrate guys like Freeman tho
