Damn, Mark Hamill still has the laugh but old age is really showing in his voice.

Can't wait for this! These two voices for them are just way too iconic for anyone else.

I just assumed they're trying to emulate the original source. DC animated movies are usually top freaking notch.

Yeah, this doesn't look like it's part of the rest of the universe. TT was really really well animated. This looks like it took a 20 year turn backwards.

Just saw it. The animation is much better in motion but has some stilted animation, thankfully it won't ruin the movie experience.

the biggest problem is the 30 minutes Batgirl prequel to rest of the movie is really out of place and doesn't add anything to the overall plot and I feel really ruins batgirl as a character. I feel Bruce Timm was forced to add this just so the feminist don't get angry on what happens to Batgirl. it would have made more sense to have a joker prequel were batman puts him in Arkham Asylum before Killing joke events.

Yeah, wasn't the new content supposed to add to Batgirl, not screw with her character even more than the original material?

Yeah, for sure. Sadly. I've never been the biggest fan of Bruce Timm even though I loved the majority of B:TAS.

The Killing Joke Movie Is a Disaster, Right Down to Its Comic-Con Panel
It was during the Q&A that things got dicey. A Joker cosplayer asked the writers why they would downplay Barbara Gordon, such a strong female character, and make her story more about the men in her life. According to Bleeding Cool reporter Jeremy Konrad, the writers insisted she was still a strong female character. Konrad, who’d already seen the film and didn’t agree, himself sarcastically shouted, “Yeah, by using sex and then pining for Bruce.”

That’s when co-screenwriter Brian Azzarello seemed to put it all out there. “Wanna say that again? Pussy?” he asked.
    Spoiler: show

here is the scene that is pissing people off but to be fair batgirl having feelings/relationship for Bruce was in the original batman TAS, batwoman movie and batman beyond. my problem how pointless she was and the way she acted in original material.

Was okay with it, personally. Basically depicted that the hero game wasn't exactly glamorous with Barbara further being unable to really share in her secret with anyone but Bruce. Basically build up history of fighting crime and they wind up sorta war buddies with the eventual squabble over her skill level being Bruce caring for her in his own awkward way. Also think it wound up making the ending more impactful, as it implied a mix of forgiveness from Batman, but also him cracking against the own insanity of their life.

Feel like some might be more angry over a Joker origin despite a rough similarity to the first Burton movie.

To close out the panel before showing the film, they announced the next three films that will release from their DC Animated Originals line.

Coming first is the already-announced Justice League Dark, which brings the team of supernatural heroes together to combat a magical threat. WB confirmed both John Constantine and Swamp Thing as characters in the film.

Next up is Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, an adaptation of a story arc that WB Animation has had in the works for years, but of late has been denying that it's actually being actively developed. The movie adapts one of Marv Wolfman and George Perez's most acclaimed stories from their seminal run.

Finally, next summer's film was announced, and it's Batman and Harley Quinn, a new completely original story from Bruce Timm, who co-created the latter character with Paul Dini. No details were announced about the film other than that, though.
