I'm reading through the comics now, around issue 30, new show seems like it could pull from the feel of G-Wiz some (Fratbro supes)
also short preview for ep 7

I honestly forgot about the G-Wiz storyline, been awhile since I read the comic.
I enjoyed the hell out of the comic when it came out because I'll read anything Garth Ennis, but I'm also super glad about some of the plot changes they've made in the show (like MM's backstory, that shit in the comics is... oof. Even though they kept the name)
i'm a but have u read the book tho guy with most adaptions but the show is way, wayyyyy better
Ennis is grand but he went p edgelord in a lot of it and the plotting got bonkers. characterization in the show in general is also much improved.
Was a nice touch casting Pegg as Hughie's dad though
I mean going crazy edge lord is Ennis 101.
I love his writing but the man goes off the deep end more often then not when left to his own devices.
Seriously tho I feel like they should have changed MM's name for the show since it doesn't make sense without his backstory from the comics, and I really really hope they never put that shit on screen
yeah the comic really got...ennis-y. i like the show but it still falls back on some pretty cliche tropes and dialogue in between the good stuff. i think it would be perfect if there was just a bit more anarchy but granted that would probably be tough to watch
i'm amused they cast iceman as a supe with fire powers
Ep's up
Holy FUCK. that ending. what the fuck
best ep of the season, again
Spoiler: show
big finale lesgoooooooo
the whole scientology subplot is pretty...lame but goddammit they are utilizing the deep just the right amount. him talking about his rowdy halibut bros last episode and making sure his head was in one piece this episode were great.

Amazon continues to ride the wave of The Boys, what might be considered its first bonafide original megahit, greenlighting a third season, an after-show and a spin-off. And for good reason, given the numbers it’s putting up.
Nielsen has been tracking streaming viewership (as best it can) and releasing weekly rankings for a month now, and this is the first time a non-Netflix show has broken into the top 10. And it’s nearly at the top.
Here are the rankings for this past week according to Nielsen, where they measure by minutes watched:
1. Cobra Kai (Netflix), 2.17 billion minutes viewed
2. Lucifer (Netflix), 1.42 billion
3. The Boys (Amazon), 891 million
4. The Office (Netflix), 843 million
5. Criminal Minds (Netflix), 675 million
6. Shameless (Netflix), 639 million
7. Away (Netflix), 631 million
8 . Grey's Anatomy (Netflix), 616 million
9 . The Legend of Korra (Netflix), 541 million
10. Mulan (Disney+), 525 million
I mean that's still a huge jump from 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st. But god damn the show is amazing.
The end of the last episode was mind-blowing
its up
edit: didn't see that coming
Yeah, did not see that ending at all lmao. That was awesome

They just keep getting creepier and creepier with these weird ass Homelander sex fetish scenes I'm terrified what they'd do next season.
