Silly question and Google doesn't seem to be helping; I'm assuming that Samsung Gear won't work on other carriers will it?

Honestly, the data line on the gear watch is a gimmick. Was only good for forwarding phone calls to the watch when I forgot my phone at home or in my car.

Otherwise it does everything a Samsung watch would do when paired with a galaxy phone (notifications, calls, texts etc...)
