Flames signed some no-name 23 yr old Czech goalie to a 1 year, 2-way contract. Goaltending situation resolved.

Srsly tho, guy is probably just a depth signing for the AHL club. I expect GMWizard Treliving to make a big move before training camp.

Honestly, I'd pick Letang or even 21 yr old Matt Murray over Kessel. Crosby isn't the worst choice though, he was 2nd on the team in scoring and let's be honest, he's the anchor of that team. He'll probably win the Hart trophy this year too. Pittsburgh's season turning around was definitely helped, if not one of the biggest reasons, because of his individual game coming back to the elite level it's expected to be at.

I wouldn't have gone with Murray. Sharks losing was more due to the Penguins lines then Murray. He was getting rattled at times and had horrible issues with the high shots. Think the pens averaged something like seven blocked shots a game alone, and kept way too much puck possession for the Sharks to get anything rolling.

I just give him a lot of credit purely because of his age honestly. That's a tonne of pressure given that the standard age for most goalies becoming regulars in the league is mid-late 20's, let alone winning a cup at 22.
