oh God i just had to install a Noctua NH-D14, throwing the 1080ti into my case spiked temps bad and my little OC'd CPU was heading towards fiery death, and man that fucker is A) enormous B) a bitch C) an enormous bitch. one day i'll be able to unmount and remount a motherboard without drawing blood but yesterday was not that day.

Also I don't really have an issue with em, it's fairly easy to mount/unmount. The clamping mechanism is pretty simple.
It's a LOT easier if you just take both fans off and add them back in , rather than trying to do it with them on the cooler though.

Isn't christening your build with your blood normal? I swear I've had more problems with builds where I didn't somehow get a deep cut on a case edge installing something than when I did, either that or I'm a lot less clumsy when I have a couple bandaids on my fingers flippers.

Blood sacrifice means everything is going to go well if you didn't test your components before plugging them all in inside of the case.

Ryzen arrived, build went fine. Very easy.

Noteably getting less "freeze" on loading intensive games that frequently locked up my 2600k.
Also the audio quality on the onboard sound is years ahead of my old onboard sound ( even though I'm using g430 w/ the usb dongle ). Not sure what happened but the audio quality is amazing ( in comparison ).

Ram running at 3200 no problems after I updated the bios.

Used to run games at 70-80C on my 2600k and the same games are hitting 55-60c on ryzen, and that was running a noctua DH14 ( MASSIVE ) vs the stock 1700 cooler.

Very happy so far.

Very glad to hear your results! I'm almost ready to buy ram and the mobo. Just sold my Lepa G1200 PSU (too big for new case) so I need to narrow down what I'm going with for the motherboard. I'm still leaning very heavily on the MSI Mortar Arctic due to it having on board optical audio. I tried using HDMI with my surround but I couldn't get it to work using the GPU (R9 380) or mb HDMI.

I'm also now on the fence regarding using the EKWB A240G AIO custom loop for both GPU and CPU. At $240 it's a steal, but it's only for reference Pascal. While I'll probably go with the 1080TI, I'm not sure if I want to be pigeon holed to reference.

I've had this happen before and what I do is chat with a CSR beforehand making sure they confirm it's a 4 pack. If I only get one I chat again and either more are sent or the price is discounted. Also, screenshot the listing.

Last time this happened I got a XFX TS 550w 80+ Gold fully modular PSU for $8. Time before I got two XFX R9 270s for $13 a piece. So either we get the goods or get the discount. I'm just stoked that it's the board I was planning on buying anyways.

They are currently on backorder. My plan of attack was to ask chat when I should expect the other 3 (when I ordered one was in stock to ship). I began the chat stating I'm inquiring about the four pack of <product>. They told me when to expect a notice for the other three. I said again at some point something about it being a four pack which they agreed. Thanked them and had the chat emailed to me.
