It was Starlight. At the time, all vendors showed the same deal but theirs was the only 1 in stock. I call bullshit on their reasoning but questioning whether I'll challenge it. At the end of it all, my friend is getting a board with the features he'll want so it's not a total loss.

That's cool then. Was gonna say, just request full refund with a prepaid return label. I may have said this before, but this isn't about getting something extra for nothing. This is about, a 4 pack was in the product information so that's what I expect. Might be a poor analogy, but if I went to a restaurant and ordered a dozen grilled shrimp for $10 and after I placed the order they said, oh our bad it's only for six shrimp, I'd be super pissed and would complain. To me, this is no different.

Yeah, I understood right away. The build recommended in the other thread was great but with given parts already we already had, the features here worked out better.

Not gonna lie like I didn't already prepare an eBay post for 2/3 extra though lol.

Ebuyer have got my card ( it's taken them a week between receiving and testing/relaying me the info ), and said it's fine and worked no problems. They're sending it back to me with no further actions.
So now I'm going to have to fuck around making videos to send them, and then fuck around sending the card back to them ( again ).

This is why I just order stuff from amazon, their returns process is a million times better than anyone elses.
I'd say it's about even odds I'm going to have to file small claims court vs ebuyer over this.

I'm not going to put up being fucked around with, I'll video the card in two different systems ( 800w+1200w psus ) and send it to them.

Need serious help: no idea what to do anymore. Build here

Built PC - everything was fine for 2 and a half months. Reading some webpages a month or so ago, and suddenly no sound or video from PC - PC is still on.
Reseat everything, different monitor, 1 stick or ram at a time, different slots, etc...no different. Try a GTX 970 from my old build, nothing. At a loss - take to microcenter for their diagnostics. They try a different video card, nothing. They try no video card (use onboard) works.

RMA mobo to asus - they find nothing, they do no repairs.
Get mobo back, try no video card, working
Try 1080 ti - nothing
Try different power rails, different power cables to the vid card, nothing
Try different pci slots, nothing
Try gtx 750 ti - works
Try gtx 460 works

Try 1080ti different computer - nothing (I think i performed it properly, but kind of rushed it)

Now i'd say it'd be vid card, but why wouldnt microcenters or my 970 work prior to rma'ing the board?

Anyone have suggestions how to proceed?

Sounds like a GPU to me. The PCI-E is clearly working if you're powering up the 750Ti/460

Yes, just strange 2 other cards didn't work pre-rma (which they claim they did nothing)

Could also be power supply, as it can also cause those sort of issues where it can feel like its either mobo or gfx card is having problems, but maybe just power delivery being screwy. Or fucking gremlins.

I feel fortunate I've yet to come across a bad power supply while using it. Once a used psu I bought off Reddit was DOA but Corsair warrantied it. I did just sell my Lepa G1200 (Enermax OEM, possibly a tier 1 unit) and installed a Seasonic M12II 850w Evo in it's place. Never realized how loud that Lepa was until now.

As they said, it could be one of the rails on the PS. Our company uses this Power Supply Tester to diagnose power supplies. It's cheap and will work as long as the ATX standard is around. It has helped solve more than one odd computer issue where the 5v or 12v rails weren't putting out the right voltage.

Tried different rails, cords etc in power supply, no difference. Took the 1080 ti to a friends, dead in his pc too. Going to try my 970 again Monday to see how it acts, and rma the 1080. Thanks for the suggestions, will keep trying stuff :/

uh, rookie question here. I've recently got a desktop, and I've not owned one since 2003?

I brought a 2.5 SSD a long time ago for my aging laptop. As that was a 1TB on a lightning deal, it's wasted inside a laptop that doesn't do much.
So I recently brought another 2.5 drive to replace the SSD. That went OK.

Now, I need to put this 2.5 1TB SSD into my desktop. There is a slot for it for sure, according to the motherboard (and it looks too small to fit a 3.5).
But I don't have any cables. Neither drive came with any.

Yes. Make sure you have a slot to mount the SSD in.
