Also, if you care at all about aesthetics, the nvme are basically invisible on most boards, as they are inserted and covered. No power cables etc.

Samsung 970 EVO is on sale too atm, am i going wrong with that dear bg tech chat? feel the urge to hit some upgrades while waiting on the 3080 that will never come.

970 Evo will do you good especially if it's on sale.

There is the newer Plus version of it but you would be hard-pressed to ever notice the difference and it's definitely not worth when the older version is on sale.

My 3080 order game up via EVGA late last week and the card came in midday yesterday. Just in time for Cyberpunk. PC build started in May finally done (for now).

Yea, went to microcenter a few days ago because their online inventory said they had one left. Talked to the guy and he said you can't trust the online inventory (Told him i have over an hour drive to get there, and they don't do holds). Said you have to either get lucky and inventory is updated while they are closed, and if you see that happen you need to camp the doors starting before 4am to claim one. Otherwise, if you see the inventory update and the store is open, don't bother driving there. I wouldn't make it in time.

Getting any current Gen gpu is going to be about vigilance and a shit load of luck. Nvidia is getting mediocre yields out of samsung and amd is diverting most of their precious tsmc silicon real estate to cpus and consoles. Then again buying amd is kind of robbing yourself if you care at all about advanced features like RT

Is there a new link to use, this one doesn't work. Playing cyberpunk on low settings and it is driving me crazy. GTA looks better than this right now. Anything over low and i sit between 20-40 fps and I just can't get past it.

This is why I rolled my eyes and just went series x. A decent build for last gen games isn't enough to run this shit decently, and it was easier to get the X than it was to build a sufficient PC.

Based on what i saw about the current console versions, they are not much better than what i'm playing on (As far as looks). I can set things to high and it looks good (Not amazing), but I can't handle frame rate drops. Glitches tend to pull you out of the game a bit, but they are not nearly as bad for me as having framerate drops. Need that 60fps (even 50 is acceptable if they don't dip), or it is really distracting for me.
