AG did you get it with all the extra thermal stuff pre applied? A coworker just grabbed the same model and I'm wondering if you know how thick the fujipoly pads are

negative i'ma have to mod on some aftermarket thermal pads meself, thinking Thermalright Odysseys which roll at 85x45x1.5
Oh wait I fucked that up, I meant to ask proth not you, my bad homie
Founders card can use 1mm and 1.5mm for both sides of the pcb. For AIB cards youll have to see if someone has made a schematic because they are all different
Sorry I'm specifically asking about the alienware laptop, shoulda specified along with getting the name right the first time
Double.
Oh. I paid a certified refitter (HIDevolution) to do the liquid metal and pads. Also had them calibrate the screen. $95 for the thermal mod but that includes the cost of material
Yeah I highly recommend ordering through them if you want a laptop. They have basically every current Gen laptop available and their own in house modded Clevo units. Took about a week to get my m17 through them so they get some kind of expedited service from Dell as well.
Can also get some fairly cheap ssd upgrades through them as well.

Was funner than I thought I'd be. Was pretty anti-RGB with the ol' tank but got the shit proudly displayed on my desk now. Bought a glow in the dark funko on eBay just to shove it in there LOL (came like triple packaged in hard plastic to protect the case and I just open it.. felt kinda bad). Going full mountain dew.
Nice one. Anything with a 3080 in it is a verified beast.
Oh damn, i should post mine in that page.
Prolly late, but Nvidia gimping more of their gpus:
8 GB Pascal GPUs unironically fucked with the Ethash/Dagger hash rate (around 40% less) due to the ever increasing DAG size. If it's an on chip resource doing the fuckery, yeah, probably nothing can be done.Halving Hash Rate
To help get GeForce GPUs in the hands of gamers, we announced in February that all GeForce RTX 3060 graphics cards shipped with a reduced Ethereum hash rate.
Today, we’re taking additional measures by applying a reduced ETH hash rate to newly manufactured GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards. These cards will start shipping in late May.
Crypto miners cause a mass shortage of cards (I know they are not the only reason, but they are a huge part).
Nvidia gimps the cards for those users
Crypto Miners:
Crypto miners will just buy the mining variants.
The existing/current 3070/3080/3090 cards will still mine at 100%, only new ones being manufactured and sold on and after the late May release date of LHR branded cards will have the 50% cut. This doesn't affect established miners and will incentivize less serious ones to dump their cards for even higher prices since now they can be marketed as non-LHR high hashrate mining cards on top of just being made of unobtainium.
ngl id be tempted to offload my 3090 if the price pops up even higher because of this. i can just use the 3080 laptop until i find a 3080ti or something.
has the hashrate limiter expanded to the 3090 line yet?
