Our second Abyss Dungeon Arrives! Apparently we got a lucky banner for this that JP didn't get, #GlobalMasterRace (except when we get FFT Banners )
Remember also that you do NOT need to worry about completing this, if you are a newer player and don't have the hones/gear/chars leveled needed to clear, you can wait for the abyss dungeon to open up again next month and complete both this one and the next one then.

These Iguions have high RES. Use physical attacks instead. Saint's Cross is excellent here.
Recommended abilities: Protectga, Shellga, defensive Breakdowns, Saint's Cross
Recommended RW: defensive
Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

Again, Motor Ball has high RES, so resort to spellblades for effective damage. Its physical and magic attacks hurt so apply necessary buffs/ Breakdowns. Lightning’s SSB is very potent here. You can even bring it as an RW.
Recommended abilities: defensive Breakdowns, Protectga/Shellga
Recommended RW: Crushing Blow, Fenrir Drive, SG/SS2
Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

Commentary
PHASE 1:
- Phase 1 ends when Demon Wall gets 4 turns. Gravija will be used, and Phase 2 will begin.
- Phase 1 also ends when Demon Wall takes ~80000 damage (30% of his HP) before he gets 4 turns.
If you have trouble pushing this phase, grab a damaging RW like Cloud’s BSSB, Squall’s SSB, Lightning’s SSB, etc. Otherwise, go all out on Demon Wall before he uses Gravija.
PHASE 2:
- Left and Right arms join the fight and become targettable.
- Demon Walls begins casting Royal Tomb Burial.
- Royal Tomb Burial: the range of this ability looks like a red frontal cone and it always targets three party members at any one time. This Royal Tomb will approach and will eventually use Nightmare Gravity, which will deal heavy proportional damage to “marked” targets and Sap them. You can tell that Royal Tomb is approaching by the “red glow” that happens from time to time.
- Targets marked by Royal Tomb Burial can prevent Nightmare Gravity from occurring. They simply have to attack Demon Wall and the Royal Tomb will be pushed back, delaying Nightmare Gravity. But if unmarked targets attack Demon Wall, the Royal Tomb will advance, making Nightmare Gravity a more likely occurrence.
- Royal Tomb Burial changes targets after Demon Wall has taken enough turns.
- Phase 2 ends when the arms are defeated.
In this phase, you want to make sure you handle the Royal Tomb mechanic well. In short, people in red cone: attack demon wall; those outside, attack the arms. One good tip here is whoever is in the cone, have them stagger their attacks so that the Royal Tomb is pushed back at a steady rate.
Also, delaying the killing of arms is recommended. You do not really want to be in Phase 3 for an extended period of time. You are just leaving yourself vulnerable to Nightmare Crashdown.
PHASE 3:
At this point Demon Wall just goes on a rampage and you pretty much have to kill him before Nightmare Crushdown is used.
Recommended RW:
- Damage SB if you don’t have the damage to push Phase 1 (Squall, Lightning, Cloud’s BSSB, etc)
- Reraise + heal SB if you need a safety net. (Eiko/Aerith)
Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.
