    Bonus Battles
Those Who Hinder the Way +
    • Tiamat
      HP: ~110800.
Target Score: Defeat Tiamat without being KO'd, Exploit Tiamat's weakness to earth attacks.
      • Weak: Earth
      • Absorbs: Wind
      • Resists: Everything else
      • Vulnerabilities: Slow
    • Elder Wyrm & Treants
      HP: ~105900 (Wyrm), ~39500 (Treants)
Target Score: Defeat Elder Wyrm without being KO'd, Exploit Elder Wyrm's weakness to wind attacks.
      • Weak: Wind
      • Absorbs: None
      • Vulnerabilities: Silence Abilities, Confuse Abilities, Sleep Abilities (Wyrm), Silence Abilities, Slow Abilities (Treant)

    Commentary
Tiamat: Since magic is countered with a self Reflect, physical attacks are recommended here (unless you plan to Dispel it). Breath hits hard, make sure you have Shelll and Magic Breakdown ready.
    Elder Wyrm:
    • When very weak, Elder Wyrm uses Fire Ball immediately after Sporefall

You may want to bring Esuna (or Medica II) to deal with potentially annoying debuffs. Other than that, go for defensive buffs like Protectga to reduce incoming attacks.

Recommended abilities: Shellga, Magic Breakdown, Esuna, Protectga
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Mighty Guard (VIII), Medica II

    TOTAL medals = 30 medals
, meaning you can only lose a max of 5 medals to get Mastery.

    Stilshrine of Miriam ++
    Vinuskar
    HP: ~204100
    Target Score:
    • Defeat Vinuskar without being KO'd.
    • Afflict Vinuskar with Blind.
    • Hit Vinuskar with Armor Breakdown.

    Weak: None
    Absorb: None
    Vulnerabilities: Slow Abilities, Blind Abilities

    Commentary
If you look at the abilities, majority is physical, so the Tauntaliate strategy is excellent here. Other than that, make sure to tank the party with Shellga to reduce Crown’s damage; and Protectga to reduce Sword Dance’s damage.

Do take note that Magic Break(down) has no effect on Crown as it deals holy damage which is based off MND and not MAG. So you’ll have to rely on other sources of mitigation such as SG/SS2 and/or Shellga. Power Breakdown can be used to reduce Sword Dance’s damage though, but Blind would take care of that anyway. Overall an easy boss.

Recommended abilities: Draw Fire + Retaliate, Protectga, Shellga, Power Breakdown.
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Mighty Guard (VIII

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

    The Immoral Emperor +++
    Mateus & Ice Azers
HP: ~180000 (Mateus), ~46000 (Ice Azers)
    Target Score:
    • Defeat Mateus without being KO'd.
    • Exploit Mateus's Weakness to lightning attacks.
    • Afflict Ice Azer with Sleep.

    Weak: Lightning (Both)
    Absorbs: Ice (Both)
    Resist: Earth/Wind/Water (Mateus)
    Null: Earth/Wind/Water (Ice Azer)
Vulnerabilities: None (Mateus) Blind Abilities, Paralyze Abilities, Sleep Abilities(Ice Azer)

    Commentary

    • Mateus has Auto-Protect on.
    • Mateus begins the fight by casting Reflect on himself.
    • Mateus’s Slow bypasses your Reflect status.
    • Ice Azer’s Curaga bypasses Mateus’s Reflect status.

If you leave Ice Azers alive/awake it can be potentially overwhelming with the amount of magic they spam. You can either Sleep all Ice Azers and just focus on Mateus, or you can defeat all Ice Azers first then work on Mateus later. The latter is preferred unless you have good lightning ability hones. Lightning’s SSB has insane value here. Quetzalcoatl should also be given a mention here, not only for the lightning damage but the Paralyze value.

(If you’re using offensive magic please don’t forget to Dispel Mateus’s Reflect)

Keep incoming damage mitigated with buffs or stacked Break(downs).

Recommended abilities: Lullaby / Sleep Buster, Multi-Break, Magic Breakdown, Shellga, Banishing Strike / Dispel, AoE
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Mighty Guard (VIII), etc

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

    Mt. Bur-Omisace (U)
    Judge Bergan & Judges
HP: ~225000 (Judge Bergan) ~45000 (Judges)
    Target Score:
    • Reduce Judge Bergan's Magic.
    • Hit Judge Bergan with Blind Shell.
    • Hit one of the Judges with Confuse Shell.

    Weak: None
    Absorbs: None
Vulnerabilities: Blind abilities and Slow abilities(Judge Bergan), Confuse abilities and Slow abilities (Judges)

    Abilities
    ► Judge Bergan (Normal)

Dark: Deal dark damage to one target.
Thunderstorm: Deal heavy lightning damage to all targets.
Anger Blow: Deal heavy special physical damage to one target.

    ► Judge Bergan (Weak)

Double Aerora: Deal wind damage two times to one target.
Double Watera: Deal water damage two times to one target.
Double Darkra: Deal dark damage two times to one target.
Thunderstorm: Deal heavy lightning damage to all targets.
Anger Blow: Deal heavy special physical damage to one target.

    ► Judge Bergan (Very Weak)

Chain Magick: Remove cast time of magic attacks for a certain period of time.
Double Aeroga: Deal heavy wind damage two times to one target.
Double Waterga: Deal heavy water damage two times to one target.
Thunderstorm: Deal heavy lightning damage to all targets.

    ► Judge

Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Lunge: Deal physical damage to one target.
Protect: Grant Protect to one target.
Shell: Grant Shell to one target.
Water Spout: Deal heavy water damage to all targets.

    Commentary
    • Judge Bergan is accompanied by three Judges.

Clear the Judges efficiently with AoE, or you can clear them one by one but make sure you keep mitigation up. Shellga here is important as a lot of magic is used, especially towards the end when Bergan is weak.

Recommended abilities: Multi-Break, Magic Breakdown, Heathen Frolic Sarabande, Shellga
    Recommended RW: SG/SS2

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

    Parent-Child Conflict (U+)
    Dr. Cid & Rooks
    HP: ~309000 (Cid), ~61000 (Rooks)
    Target Score:
    • Reduce Dr. Cid's Attack.
    • Hit Dr. Cid with Banishing Strike.
    • Exploit Dr. Cid's weakness to holy attacks.

    Weak: Holy (Dr. Cid)
Resists: Ice DMG, Lightning DMG, Earth DMG, Wind DMG, Water DMG, Poison DMG (Both)
    Vulnerabilities: Silence (Dr. Cid)

    Abilities

    ► Dr. Cid (Normal/Weak)

Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Barrier: Grant Protect and Shell to one target.
CT15: Deal heavy special ranged physical damage to one target (ignores DEF)
S-27 Tokamak: Deal massive special ranged physical damage to all targets.

    ► Dr. Cid (Very Weak)

Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Haste: Grant Haste to one target.
S-27 Tokamak: Deal massive special ranged physical damage to all targets.
CT15: Deal heavy special ranged physical damage to one target (ignores DEF)

    ► Rook

Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Curaga: Restore a large amount of HP to one target.
Regen: Grant Regen to one target.
Protect: Grant Protect to one target.
Shell: Grant Shell to one target.
Reflect: Grant Reflect to one target.
Drain: Deal moderate damage to one target and drain some HP.

    Commentary
    • The battle ends when Dr. Cid is defeated.
    • When both Rooks are dead, Cid will casts Haste on himself as an interrupt.
    • If at least one Rook dies, Dr. Cid will start using S-27 Tokamak.
    • When both Rooks are dead, the frequency of S-27 Tokamak being used increases.

There are two main approaches to this fight:

    • #1: CLEAR THE ROOKS

There are pros and cons to this strategy. One major advantage is that you don’t have to deal with the constant buffs that Cid gets anymore (which saves you from honing Banishing Strike). However, Dr. Cid becomes stronger when Rooks are defeated. In fact, he will start using S-27 Tokamak very often. Though, if you can maintain mitigation (SG/SS2 + Power Breakdown + Protectga), this could be the better strategy for you.

    • #2: IGNORE THE ROOKS

This is self-explanatory. You ignore the Rooks and just aim for the main objective. You do, however, need to have a well honed Banishing Strike (or two), because Dr. Cid will be getting buffs from the Rooks pretty often. According to experience from players, S-27 Tokamak is never (or very very rarely) used if you ignore the Rooks, so that’s a plus.

    • Special mention: Reflect
    • (thanks to juniglee of the FFRK subreddit)

If you cast Reflect on Dr. Cid, the Rooks actually stops buffing him and will instead use other moves (regular attacks, Drain). This is especially useful for Tauntaliate setups as you get extra feeds from the Rooks. Do note though, Dr. Cid is still able to buff himself with Barrier (it ignores Reflect as it is a non-magic skill). So you’ll still need to Dispel it and re-apply Reflect where necessary. Also make sure you have Shellga or other similar magic mitigation tools because Rooks’ Drain hurts! It can hit for up to 4000 damage if not mitigated.

Whichever strategy you adopt, just pray that Dr. Cid doesn’t spam CT15!

Recommended abilities: Banishing Strike / Dispel, Saint Cross, Draw Fire + Retaliate, Reflect, defensive Breakdowns, Shellga, Protectga
    Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream (Ramza)

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

More Blocking, le sigh, just don't respond at all to anything if the thread is half complete, gonna have to narrow it down again.

Edit: May have to find out who to contact about posting on the site, it just will NOT let me post anything regarding the bonus battles no matter what I omit.

Edit2: Think all the status effects are causing multiple triggers of the site's failsafe, so I may have to rewrite them as dumb shit, like instead of what we call blind ability for Machinist, i'll just call it "Blind Machinist".

Edit3: Alrighty, might be too big, so gonna seperate bonus battles and main info into two seperate posts.

Edit4: OMFG, almost done, it's not the ability names, its me typing long lists of status and elemental weakness with only seperating them with a / doing it, so gonna add abilities and DMG to them to see if it stops the site fucking me over.

Edit5: All Done! Gonna keep to this new format and next time copy all the Bonus Battle data in a notepad file so I can edit it piecemeal if it triggers the site block again.

earth and wind medal conditions for the 2 boss stage, terrible. i don't think i have a single earth ability crafted atm, hah.

fran's SSB looks absolutely ridiculous. does it stack with normal break/breakdown effects or overwrite them?

Shares same ID as full break and multibreak, so stacks with all except those two.

Runic neutralized the ice things while everyone else just went to town on boss. Once Shoutpocalypse went up things just died.

I personally threw 3 mith away last night to test to see if this was worth farming. Only spawned once in 26 stages ran, and dropped major white orb (on stage 2, which somebody had previously confirmed an MPO drop on). FFRK inspector currently shows 5 major orb drops in 70 stages run (which does include my 1/26 run), or 252 stam per major orb / 25.2 stam per greater orb equivalent, which is significantly worse than doing ++ dailies, especially when useless white orbs are among the possible drops.

Basically, it seems like a nice bonus if you happen to run into it while clearing the event, but it's not very stamina efficient to go out of your way to farm, at least, given the relatively small sample size of 5 out of 70 runs so far.
