Anima Weapons
Modify stats (Reminder this will not involve Alexandrite. However it will require materia)
There will be “bonus parameters” you will get. You may get 1 point, or you may get more than one point at once.
Basically you can’t fail adding materia, however sometimes you may also get bonus points when you attach materia that will speed up the process.
There will be multiple ways to progress on this quest.

No reason to think they couldn't be uncommon rewards from Aquapolis or Palace of the Dead either, for what it's worth.

I'd be more concerned about the paucity (both in actual amounts availible as well as means of getting them) DoH and DoL Vs. The new tribe will absolutely need to reward them, as Mutamix's RNG results are often less than desireable. And fuck having to SB crafted AF2 or the trash Red scrips right-side gear.

Totally sucks but I have a feeling this is what they want us to do given those useless recipes at the top of all the 3 star books that take only 3 of a very easily gathered mat.

Airships pull in crazy amount of T5 materias when geared up properly, 4 airships rolling out to the crit/det/acc zones pull in every other day at least 2-3 T5s.

Yep, biggest haul Airship 1-3 brought back was 5 Tier V...but it's usually spellspeed lol. Airship 4 brought back 3 TV Crit though.

That may be a mistranslation, because it directly contradicts the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XXVIII Digest:

We're also planning to add more storyline to the Anima weapon series in Patch 3.3, and it'll be possible to change your weapon's secondary stats at that time.

We'll be proceeding with a system similar to that of the alexandrite that was needed to create Zodiac weapons, but it will not involve materia. Just like the initial stage of the anima weapon quest, we'll be preparing several avenues for obtaining the necessary items, so you can choose a method that suits your preferences. The weapon enhancements coming in Patch 3.3 will make them comparable to weapons affixed with grade V materia.

There's also nothing mentioned about it in the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XXIX Update Thread, just the comment: "New side quests such as the continuation of the Anima weapon series and more Hildibrand adventures!"

As long as I get to change the off stats I don't really care what we have to do though.

i'm annoyed they are nerfing rep gains for beast tribe dailies......there goes my source of income why does SE always do this shit they did it with ixali too. SE needs to learn to tell it's playerbase no sometimes.

I mean, the quests are utterly tedious and it takes a fair bit of doing them to get all 4 to the point where you can get the relic tokens from, so I can see why they are doing it.
