I was starting to feel sick/pained for the trio for the last bit of the episode!

I know we discussed previously that Season 4 was all going to be about lengthy specials/trips, but is there any suggestion what and when the next next episode will be?

edit: i wonder what that shot at Top Gear was about though, I just quickly checked the news and see nothing of worthy to note

After how long they made us wait it is hard to be happy with it overall. I know the TG guys had no control over it and it was all amazon but that didnt stop the experience being soured.

Can I also say that the amazon prime smart TV apps forcing HDR with no way to turn it off pisses me off so much

Had to watch on my computer because I never once saw sunlight on this tropical island watching in UHD HDR

Uhhhh you sure your HDR settings are correct? HDR looks phenomenal in that show, i remember during season 1 and 2 there were 2 versions of TGT in the amazon smart tv app, one was 4K HDR and the other was 1080p. Is that no longer the case? If so i may have to resort to the xbox one version of the app unless there’s a ps5 version now.

I have a new HiSense and from googling around it seems like it isn’t an uncommon problem to just have amazon’s HDR be complete and utter dogshit on certain TVs and there are no settings to fix it

That blows, hopefully maybe being able to utilize a console version of the app that supports 4K/HDR properly should help.

I was actually fooled at the beginning when the relatively new/fresh cars were shown until they had to go elsewhere! But this was a nice break away from the usual cheap/modded cars as they actually had decent cars to modify this time around, a rare occurrence.

I would recommend to every single person on the planet who isn't overly strapped for cash to get an Nvidia Shield Pro.

It is so much better then every other streaming device

Quick heads up guys, if anyone is missing Grand Tour due to the next episode being unknown on when it will come out, and you don't mind their solo adventures when not together, all on Amazon Prime:

James May Our Man in Japan (Japan Travel Show)
James May Oh Cook (Cooking show)
Richard Hammond The Great Escapists (Richard ship wrecked on an island and must engineer/build his life better on the island)
Jeremy Clarkson Clarkson's Farm (came out yesterday - Jeremy builds his own farm)

Their usual quirks are carried over into the solo shows. Somewhat less fun than the 3 being together of course, but if you enjoy seeing them dick around in general it's a good relaxing watch. I'm going through Clarkson's Farm myself at the moment and it's quite funny in general!

edit: quite a weak special; maybe covid limited them in what they could do but overall I still laughed in some parts but it's like they just picked a bunch of old stuff and combined it into the episode
