hey I admit, I was 1/7 or so, 1 of them was because I went in blind and didn't know which lens did what, and the other 5 or so what shitty RNG on nightmare poison... WHICH DIDN'T EVEN HURT BECAUSE OF MASS SBs

The only 2 dangerous lens imo are 2 and 3

Poison can be overwritten with Regen (yay lenna default SB)

2 isn't dangerous at all. I'd worry more about 3 and 4.

Wait? 2 was dangerous? But yeah, when I tried the first time I got 2 guys silenced and 1 petrified. So that was pretty much S/L #1 there. Rest were all in phase 1 when it decided to do poison back to back.

2 is the one that makes photon spray do double damage, so RNG deaths are very likely if you dont dispel or kill it.

If you have buffs up it still shouldnt be much of an issue.

Well 3rd one is Enpetrify, so w/e buffs you have it can still rekt your run

2nd one is enhanced dmg, and for me with Shellga and SG it still did 700-800 per hit, thta can still kill people if you have bad RNG and photon spray decides to focus on 1 character

Pro/Shell/Wall, Mirror 2 did 647 at most.

I got punked and the exact moment phase 3 started he cast bio on himself and did his hyper poison before I could get an esuna off. I didn't feel like S/Ling it since it's only 1 stamina and took the Expert for now. RNG is being a total cunt to me in this fight but I don't want to drop my utility spells for more holy shit. :/

Only ability I made/honed specially for this was Curaise; already had everything else.



Lost one medal to actions and two to damage, but I can only imagine going in with 4 diagas like I saw somewhere would probably be so much quicker.

Is Intercession useful? I could switch mine to that as well if needed... was going to switch to Miracle Prayer once I mastered it since HotF and PF seemed to be getting weak.

It was for me for this event, I wished I could find one for RW but I couldn't.

Yeah intercession is single target but it 1 shots a mirror and large AOE heal. so both are good. Having both natively made the mirror stage easy. The last stage I just had to remember to just do esuna every time and don't put it on Yuna or Penelo

Yeah I think I had ensuna on the wrong character, I lost my master because of poison.

Yah this fight is... quite stupid. The damage output is absolutely absurd. Even with Pro/Shell/Stoneskin the damage output is beyond stupid, I can't even keep up with Phase 1, he's doing over 1k per breath (which, mind you wouldn't be too bad, but when he's using AoEs every single turn, its impossible to keep up with). That stacked with WHMs having low HP and requiring duplicates of spells you absolutely would not have on hand unless you enjoy burning orbs... good god I don't know how I'm going to do this... Any recommendations with the following being my best options...?

Aerith 74 - Healing Wind, Planet Protector.
Eiko 65 - Withering Wind, Emerald Light
Vanille 65 - Oerba's Boon
Yuna 70 - The Sending
Tyro 80 - Wall (Need him saddly)

I've given Eiko the FF8 HP Accessory so she isn't so Oneshot-able... but my word... the damage output is still startling.

Edit: Got to Phase 2.. Got really unlucky... keeping at it..

Honestly one of the biggest issues I had was getting a clean start where I got wall/shell up before he could act. Otherwise you're starting with 1+ characters already down 2k HP.

Past that, 1 aoe heal should be enough to get you through, though if you have 2 or more you can use cure spells as nukes instead of healing. Photon spray will give you tons of SB guage (plus hitting holy weakness gives you more). And I'll stress that point: you will have more than enough SB gauges. Use them as soon as they're up if you can (esuna/poisona duty aside) Other than that, don't forget to reapply pro/shell and take down mirrors 3/4 asap.
