Why skip shell? Skip protect instead if you use it
I don't use Protect. I'd get a screenshot of my setup in a bit... but pretty much, even with Shout, none of my guys can do more than 4k a hit
As you can see, I already started taking off lightning resist accessories after the first try so I could push out a bit more dps.
RW is Shout btw

Easiest U and U+. Could probably beat U+ with no medals lost if I make no mistakes and s/l for perfect rng but I'm fine with one lost.
1/1 Steiner, Drainga was the real MVP. Bitch Seiken Shock'd Tyro twice on his last turns.
And god damm I love the darkness skills. I was worried bringing it to U+ 'cause it always feels like those fights tsle forever, but best U+ with 10 remaining on the countdown. I'm probably going to R3 that shit, I'd have him down with like 15-20 remaining then.
From the looks of it, I'm guessing the RM on Agrias is one of the holy damage up ones? Agrias's RM2 (Holy Knight's Pride, which you likely have by level 79) is +30% knight ability damage, while the best holy damage RM is only +20%.
If you have one of them, you may also want to consider one of the sword damage +20% RMs (Pride of the Red Wings for Dark Cecil, or One-Eyed General for Beatrix) for Zidane instead of ace/battleforged. Judging by what you have equipped, I'm assuming you dont have his SSB, so having a 20% damage boost on everything including your TR will do significantly better. Also, as you say you are using shout, you don't exactly want to rush to trigger the SB from exploda which will replace the 50% attack boost from shout with a 35% attack boost thus lowering his damage output.
I have Zidane's Rumble Rush, Agrias' Cleansing Strike, and for all intents and purposes, I'm using Ramza's Hailstorm just for more dps ainsted of Tailwind.
And yeah, I was using the holy+ one since I had cleansing strike which was also holy.
This ultimate+ has best song ^_^
Having all sorts of issues. I feel like I'm close, but for whatever reason cannot get over that 30% blitz. RW is Runic/Indonesian. My main tactic is to Lifesiphon until Trance, then Dismissal/SB burn until dead.
My Options: Drop Yshtola for a more dedicated healer (Vanille's Ability Recharge Curaga Medica), drop Ramza for Tyro for Wall and then RW Shout, or keep trying as my setup stands right now and wait for a good RNG'ed run.
Balthier is kind of in a weird spot for me. I could drop him for Leon/Dismissal and use Lifesiphon on Tyro to keep wall charged while Leon or Dismissal keeps my atk up.
Took a few S/Ls due to badly timed spells one shotting people.

RW was SG. Lost 1 medal for damage.
I too had some bad starts. Kujo loved to murder Tyro right off the bat. But after that he couldn't touch me
RW Shout
Four experts in a row. Wondering if I'm just not putting out enough damage.
Changed shit up and went with Lureflect on Agrias with Lifesiphon. Benched Yshtola (gasp!) and put in Vanille, replaced Balthier with Tyro for SG, Armor BD and Dismissal and put in Cloud with Lifesiphon and Bladebeam. RW was MGVIII.
Win on expert - 2 for damage and 1 for actions. I guess full lightning mitigation, Shell, Wall, Magic BD, Full BD and Cleansing Strike isn't enough to mitigate.
Going to be ~10 stamina over before weekend orbfest, so I'll have the chance to get a few more runs in. If you were "brute forcing" it like other U/U+'s, I highly recommend Lureflect. Takes a lot of stress from organizing pre-gravija away and gives you a lot of breathing room setting everything up right before and after trance.
I'm only going for expert on this. Will try Monday after Orbfest to get levels on Zidane and go R4 Dismissal/R2 TR on him.
@mistmonster that screen looks beautiful!
I got expert first try, 2nd fight built up sb, revive with 1 mythril and mastered
For anyone who has it, the FF6 memento ring accessory (major instant KO resistance) gives near immunity to gravity attacks (supposedly reduces gravija's 303% chance to hit down to 3% chance to hit) which could potentially be the difference between saving a damage medal and losing it.
I might just bring Kimahri and say fuck it.
Best thing is to not heal before the gravija
That way it will drain less hp
