They removed Koenigseggisseggggnigisegggg off the board

It seems they're doing as much as they can to remove any reference to the original trio (as evident at the end of the episode where Chris says they are not allowed to say "on that bombshell...", and also the removal of any previous top gear creations)

I look forward to the first episode of the 3 boys being an hour long episode of taking the piss out of the BBC.

I don't think I could ever watch this new show. I would've preferred it just end where it was. It's just weird now.

I didn't bother watching. Ratings are down like a stone. Everyone hates Chris Evans.

I do like that the ratings are down, maybe that will translate to the producers as "stop trying to fucking copy clarkson". I'm still watching it because I am a masochist but I am happy that hopefully a clear message is being sent to the BBC that punching someone in the face is sometimes not the worst thing that can happen.

Top Gear USA this season is WAY better than this shit.

Ep 2:

Was missing in Ep 1 also, first thing I noticed when they showed the board. A few other cars have been removed also. I haven't paused to look but I was looking for the Zonda and didn't see it.

I meant to post it in here last night but there was a great comparison of Chris Evans' tweets after the premiere (THIS IS THE BEST RATED SEASON OPENER EVER, FACT. IT'S TOP OF THE DEMOGRAPHICS, FACT. IT'S AMAZING AND BETTER, FACT) and then a week later after the ratings drop off (ONLY PEOPLE LIVING IN THE PAST CARE ABOUT WEEK TO WEEK RATINGS).

It's pretty great sour grapes.

Kevin Hart was on this week. He tried his best. Still awkward. He was paired with a boxing champion. Very big dude. Forgot his name, but when they first appeared on camera, you'd think it was a dad with his kid

I have come to prefer the Extra Gear thing they have on BBC3, Rory Reid and Chris Harris just seem way more genuine than Chris Evans plus they have the news segment AND they get B-list comedians as guests so it's all much more relaxed. Gods, anyone would be better than Chris Evans. I don't understand why BBC keeps giving him jobs, nobody watches the shows he is on because he is on them, they just watch them despite him. He's probably the nicest guy ever in person or gives the executives good blowjobs, idk, but his presenting style is just painful.

At the moment the episodes feel very very pointless, or senseless.

The old eps at least mask it with some sort of mission each time they go out and do something.

Currently the format can be summed up as the following:

Car show off
Some other car showoff or senseless challenge
Pointless interview with 2 celebs on who's got the bigger car penis/show clips
Another pointless show off of some form

I stopped watching, the first 10 minutes of episode 2 were awful.

The hot hatch comparison was the best thing they've done in the new season so far.

Really sad that Honda put out such a pathetic showing with the Type R. Would've been kinda nice to see the turbo Mugen CR-Z put up against the Focus but I'm sure it'd probably also get outclassed as well.

I've been jealous of the Focus ST for a while but won't touch a Ford again.

Basically less Chris evans, more of everyone else.

However I am concerned now that currently there is little no chemistry between anyone because it's all so disconnected/segmented for now.
