    Bonus Battles
    Hometown Bout +
    • Staniv, Shake, Chekov, & Gorkii
      HP: ~40000 each
Target Score: Defeat The Four Saints without being KO'd, Afflict any one of them with Slow.
      • Weak: Wind (Gorkii)
      • Null: Earth (Gorkii)
      • Resists: None
      • Vulnerabilities: Poison Abilities, Blind Abilities, Sap Abilities, Paralyze Abilities, Slow Abilities (All); Stop Abilities (Gorkii)
    • Godo
      HP: ~115000

      • Weak: None
      • Absorbs: None
      • Vulnerabilities: Poison Abilities, Slow Abilities, Sap Abilities

    Commentary
Four Saints: Quetzalcoatl works well here for the Paralyze value. Otherwise beat them down the ol’ fashioned way, either one by one or by using AoE. Sephiroth’s Shadow Flare and Cloud’s Blade Beam deserves special mention here.
    Godo:
    • Godo changes colour at the end of every turn.

As long as you keep him controlled with Slow, Blind and defensive Breakdowns, you should be fine.

Recommended abilities: Slowga, AoE, defensive Breakdowns
    Recommended RW: SG/SS2

    TOTAL medals = 30 medals
, meaning you can only lose a max of 5 medals to get Mastery.

    Abandoned Town ++
    Turks: Rude
    HP: ~125900
    Target Score:
    • Defeat Rude without being KO'd.
    • Reduce Rude's DEF.
    • Afflict Rude with Slow.

    Weak: None
    Null: None
Vulnerabilities: Slow Abilities, Blind Abilities, and Poison Abilities (Both); Silence Abilities, Paralyze Abilities, Confuse Abilities, Stop Abilities, and Sleep Abilities (Guards)

    Commentary
Use AoE to quickly take care of the guards while controlling Rude with Slow and Break(downs).

    DROPS: Greater Black Orb

Recommended abilities: Shellga, Protectga, Breakdowns, AoE
    Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

    Cetra's Memory +++
    Demons Gate
    HP: ~202000
    Target Score:
    • Defeat the Demons Gate without being KO'd.
    • Reduce Demons Gate's ATK.
    • Defeat Demons Gate before it uses Petri-eye.

    Weak: None
    Absorbs: None
    Resist: Earth
    Null: Poison
Vulnerabilities: Slow Abilities and Sap Abilities

    Commentary
    • Uses Demon Rush at 75%, 50%, and 25% thresholds.

He hits really hard, make sure you prepare well. Protectga right off the bat and Slow him while hasting yourself. Make sure your party is healthy going into the above mentioned thresholds.

    DROPS: Major Fire Orb

Recommended abilities: Tempo Flurry/Slowga, Power Breakdown, Protectga
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Lunatic High, etc

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

    Deep Sea Distress (U)
    Carry Armor
    HP: ~206000 (Body), ~83000 (Arms)
    Target Score:
    • Defeat Carry Armor's body last.
    • Reduce the body's MAG.
    • Exploit the body's weakness to lightning attacks.

Weak: Lightning (After Arms are destroyed)
    Null: Poison
    Vulnerabilities: None

    Abilities

    ► Body

Lapis Laser: Deal moderate special non-elemental magic damage to all targets.
Lapis Laser: Deal special non-elemental magic damage to all targets.

    ► Body (After Arms destroyed)

Lapis Laser: Deal moderate special non-elemental magic damage to all targets.
Lapis Laser: Deal very heavy special non-elemental magic damage to one target.

    ► Arms

Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Arm Grab: Render a target incapacitated.

    Commentary
    • If the Body is attacked while the Arms are alive, the Arms will use Arm Grab.
    • Arm Grab is similar to Pyramid, that is a character becomes unable to act.
    • To free a character from Arm Grab, you need to deal enough damage to the arm that used Arm Grab.

Kill the arms ASAP. Be careful when using AoE, any damage on the Body will trigger the Arm Grab counter.

    Recommended abilities: Multi-Break
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Lunatic High, any Attack boosting SB, etc

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

    • Reduce Proudclod's ATK.

Wrist Laser: Deal very heavy ranged physical damage to one target.
Beam Cannon: Deal very heavy non-elemental magic damage to all targets.
Big Hand Clash: Deal massive physical damage to one target.
W Machine Gun: Deal heavy ranged physical damage to one target.
Knee Bend: Deal special ranged physical attack to all targets.
Knee Fire: Deal heavy special physical damage to one target.

    ► Jamar Armor

Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Jammer Release: Remove Reflect status from all targets.

    Commentary
This is a true test of hones. The first wave of bosses aren’t too bad but still don’t let your guard down.

The Kimaira (2nd wave) hurts a lot with its Freeze magic. Make sure you reduce its mag and tank up with Shellga.

Proudclad’s main damage comes from Beam Cannon. As long as you mitigate it you will be fine. Make sure to destroy Jamar Armor so you can exploit lightning weakness on Proudclad for a quick kill.

Recommended abilities: defensive Breakdowns, Full Break / Multi-Break, Protectga, Shellga
    Recommended RW: SG/SS2

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

Same time. Obviously when we start getting U/U+ Cid missions those will be released alongside those battles three days after the event goes live.

Why is this one different? Is there any specific reason to not follow the normal format on this event?

When it was released in JP we had an Orbfest and the Big Bridge event running alongside this.

So this has been bothering me for a while but is the robot's name Proud Clod, Proudclod or Proudclad? And why is it proud? (If it was explained in VII, I don't remember it as it's been a while)

in the US PSX release, it was proud clod. don't know if they changed it in any of the subsequent rereleases.

Proudclod literally just destroyed me with a 9999 Beam Cannon to everyone.

Overall, yeah, it's a fight against hones. Ying/Yang went down in 6 rounds between Bladeblitz, Tornado Strike, and Meteor, but Chimera lasted a bit longer than I would've liked. This is further worsened by the fact PC didn't go lightning weak when I took down the Jamar armor, so my projected offense tanked. Gonna have to decide if I wanna give up MG8 as RW and put Shellga on my healer since the 2 RWs couldn't span all 3 fights. Will miss the regen, though.

Time to wreck shit, birthday style.

Went down more easily with Shout and swapping in Shellga, but still took some hard hits with a less reliable accessory protect.
