aaaaand nevermind... 1/50+ finally didn't get RNG screwed and went pretty easily. Only lost 1 medal for dmg taken...

Guess it's the typical, complain on the internet and win strat.

Agrias is an option since Hallowed bolt will overwrite the Body & Soul Atk/Mag buff. Probably wait until sub 50% when he pops body and soul to use it. Maybe swap Fang out.

Just as a follow up, Fang was a star... managed to 6* his SB lance. With Shout both of his jumps were hitting for 9999 and being in the air for a good portion of the fight he never needed healing, what damage he took was made up for with the drain-jump.

Was really just a lucky RNG for no poorly timed aoe's. Lots of launches.

RNG didn't treat me well.



I don't even care to try again. Took 50 tries to get that result.

Shitty part is I could have potentially gotten 1 less medal in KOs because literally everyone but edea was alive before the last 2 turns.

Finger slipped and I used a non dmg SB on Edea. Finger slipped and used regular ability instead of Balthier's SB.

Left this U+ until the last minute then entered it last night and forgot about it. Jeeze, this was by far the hardest U+ so far for me and my 13 synergy is great. First attempt I got him to like 5% and then it took me 15-20 attempts after that to actually beat him. So many times I had full mitigation up and he'd still drop someone dead from high HP between cures / SB's

Probably would have had a lot easier time if all the people were 80 instead of the ragtag of 65-72 I used. Very glad I opted against taking Yuffie as she would have been far too squishy to be remotely useable.

the SB charging cheese works for him so you could technically just overpower your guys to beat him

Yeah I figured that Mythril'ing the fight would work as he didn't seem to have a lot of HP but I didn't want to cheese the fight when this was the first time a boss had actually challenged me.

I didn't read up on him until after winning so didn't realize Body and Soul was overwriting my Cleansing Strike.
