What's the big deal with the animations? Just some are slower than others?
What's the big deal with the animations? Just some are slower than others?
That's the gist of it. Balthier is slower with guns and Fran with bows. It never bothered me in the original release and won't bother me now.
Yeah I'm not gonna min/max based on animations. This is a single player game.
I guess it may matter for like...yiazmat or whatever
I forgot how OP magic is at the beginning of the game...
I think I did Yiazmat in the original when I was level 67-70ish. 7 hrs later that bitch was dead.
If you were level 99 with NIN weapons and a decent setup you could take him out in ~45 mins (he's weak to dark and NIN swords are all dark-damage).
I imagine you could take him out even faster with no damage cap and breaks working on bosses.
Also PC port where.
SE.
PC port.
You guys are funny.
Buy a PS4 like the rest of us hopeless FF addicts
Or just wait 4 years I guess.
If you're around level 80+, set up gambits properly, and utilize dark weapons like Niiro says, you can take Yaz down in like 55 minutes while basically AFK.
Now that breaks work on everything, you can choose 2 jobs, and spellcasting overlaps, he'll be much less imposing.
@Silenka, I think FF12 and FF15 are the only 2 games not on PC. They threw the FF10 remaster on steam within like a year after PS3/4 release, don't see them taking too much time unless they want to go through the horrendous trouble of redoing the entire core infrastructure to support 60 fps. Already a little surprising they didn't at least up res to 2160p for the PS4 Pro version. KH 2.8 got the 4k/60hz treatment.
Speaking of attack animations, doesn't Fran have a flip-kick animation when bare-handed? If so, then yah, no doubt whose going to be my monk.
Finally gonna get to start playing tonight.
Doing either:
BLM/MNK - Ashe
RBM/ARC - Penelo
KNI/BUS - Basch
BRK/SHI - Balthier
TBM/UHL - Fran
WHM/MCH - Vaan
or
BLM/MNK - Ashe
RBM/ARC - Penelo
KNI/BUS - Basch
UHL/SHI - Balthier
BRK/MCH - Fran
WHM/TBM - Vaan
Completely torn on the two. Someone mentioned fran with poles earlier and that's what I was leaning towards but having her with a gun wouldn't be terrible either.
WHM/Timemage might not be the very best combo. In fact iirc it's one of the most avoided ones. I think because it gets locked into weak armors and weapons and piles too much strong important magecraft onto one character (so if they die or you're not using them at the time it gets to be a problem) but...maybe I'm wrong?
Are you able to pick between old systems and Zodiac Job, similar to FFX HD's Normal/Expert sphere grid?
Also how the hell is this game 41gb? The PS2 original was a single-layered DVD last I checked. The assets don't look boosted that much (the game was detailed to start, just the resolution held it back) besides shadows and AO and some signs of generated normal maps. The FMVs are still fuzzy as if it's running around uncompressed DVD video standards (same as FFX HD), and I doubt the audio takes up the brunt of the disc.
No there's no choice between the systems
NIN/SAM with Black Robes will rip through Yaizmat in like 10 minutes because of the damage cap being removed.
