Apparently you can steal karkata in Trial mode level 3. It's stronger than Deathbringer so idk if I'm gonna bother with stealing the latter.

Wheres the earliest you can get thief's cuff in Zodiac Age?
Still gonna be a better steal than Deathbringer though. Both are same % and with this one you can just reload and try right away again.
You can get your first pair of Thief's Cuffs right after Raithwall.
Go to Nalbina, get a chocobo (which will scare away the guards at the entrance), and go into the Mosphoran Highwaste.
They're in a chest in the northern part of the area with the teleportation crystal, I believe.
You can get there without going from Nalbina. I just went through the Estersands after the ferry quest.
Got the second one in Zeriwhatever Caverns too.
Got Karkata and Long Sword on my 3rd attempt. Gotta love the double steal from the cuffs.
Wonder if theres anything else good going on in early trial mobs.
Edit: Btw does Diamond Armlet have to be in active party to take effect?
Oh...thats pretty shitty >.>
I got the Kartaka first try, didn't know they were rare <_<
The damage didn't feel incredibly overpowered, so I used it, but god damn that confuse just stun locked bosses up, lol.
Finally started playing this. The movement/battle speed increase is niiiiiiice as fuck. It's amazing how a simple increase in speed can make such a big difference
Maybe I'm in the moment but I want to put this in iv,vi,vii tier of ff greatness. Picked up koga/Iga blade on a random hunt and vaan combos like crazy with it
Kartaka is a good investment you can pretty much solo with it until the 30s

Im doing ninja swords 1, koga, and 4. Took some thought but I'm happy with it.
How so few saw it when it first came out still puzzles me. Even at the time, the graphics, voice acting, lore/immersion and story were all top notch, and the battle system - even if it wasn't your favorite - was fun and unlike any other FF game until then. Open world combat! It pretty much instantly became my favorite FF game after I had played most of it, mainly thanks to the mature story and extensive lore. But pretty much everyone was like "meh" and practically never spoke of it again. So confused.
The only thing I really don't like about XII over other FFs are the espers. Kinda miss the usual ones, they're like characters all in themselves. I still don't know all the XII espers XD
XII's espers are super dark and interesting, story-wise, which IMO makes up for their divisive gameplay.
Spoiler: show
So, I got some Seitengrat for my party members and lol. Had some 40-50k attacks on things, bosses just melt. These make the game quite amusing, but I wouldn't really recommend them to anyone playing for the first time since they remove basically all challenge from most stuff (I haven't got to the harder hunts and trial mode yet, but I'm sure these still speed up kills quite a bit).
you need a diamond bangle to get the seitengrat, correct? When do i get that?
I don't remember in the game itself but it's in the chest in the first stage of trial mode
It's in the Westersand, I don't know the specific area just that the zone line for it is near the 3 dive talons and the entrance to the mines is there. However as stated above in trial mode its 100% from the first floor in trial mode which is arguably faster to get it.
