Yeah, the "any" gambits for stuff like that will only go off when things can actually be done/removed. I use it for stuff like Dispel, Esuna/Curative Items, Raises/Phoenix Downs, First Aid, and probably more stuff I'm forgetting.

Exemple Penelo is Monk BLM and I like to make her MNK for Trash and BLM for bosses.

So it feel strange to always change gambits

I generally just have Libra after the attack gambits, and mostly just use it for seeing traps. Since I don't need it on bosses, I don't really care if they refresh it during one.

You're at a point where her BLM damage is going to quickly outperform her MNK damage.

Set up her gambits like this:

Foe: fire-weak [fira/firaga]
Foe: wind-weak [aero/aeroga]
Foe: ice-weak [blizzara/blizzaga]
Foe: lightning-weak [thundara/thundaga]
Foe: Foe: 3+ foes present [bio]
Self: MP < 10% [charge]
Foe: lowest HP [attack]

That should last you a long while, and her MP will be completely self-sufficient with Charge. If you're up against any enemies with no weaknesses and ungrouped, she'll melee.

Once you unlock White Magic 9 (Curaja) behind MNK's 75 Quickening, god help your enemies against Penelo.

the rest i think comes from a Bazaar item that you need to farm from lv 34 mobs or something

One in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. One from Enkelados hunt. One from the estersand ferry quest, if you have the Great Serpentskin from the Nidhogg hunt in Lhusu Mines.

I had that serpentskin and even gave it to her when I did that quest and I didn't get shit for some reason. I still only have the 2 from the hunt and chest in sandsea. I don't really care for having more though, would have been nice to have 3 still.

To get the Golden Amulet from the fairy quest line requires you to turn in the maximum of every item requested (5 shells, 2 phials, 3 dew) + giant serpentskin.

Golden Amulets really aren't a big deal. If you have the two you're guaranteed, you should have most of the licenses you want besides future equipment way before late-game.

Yeah. I'd put

Ally: whatever % you want [Curaja]
Foe: status: Reflect [Attack]

at the top. And I'd put

Foe: status: Reflect [Dispel]

somewhere really high for your WHM and/or RDM.
