Played like an hour so far. It's pretty freaking great.
Do I need to know anything about the GoW games to play this?
All you need to know is Kratos literally killed Aries to become the god of war. Now he’s basically on the run from Roman style gods and is hanging out in Norse land.
Downloading!
Hardest difficulty is a one way trip. You cannot go back on it unless you make a new save btw
Seems like Quebec resident got shafted as Sony Canada opened the Collector package and removed an item due to not having french languauge on it)
if anyone BG is streaming this post link and i will try to watch thx
Got this today and played for a couple of hours.
Game is gorgeous, everything is framed as a continuous shot and it gives the game a very raw, intimate feel in a very violent way. Challenging enough to not be boring (on standard difficulty atm) without being impossible. Story and characters so far are interesting and I want to know more. Haven’t really experienced this in a game for a long time.
Definitely a must-buy if you have a ps4.
Finished everything in the game aside from a few of those dumbass eyes of Odin, cause I can't be bothered to look around for the ones I missed. Easily game of the year. Good luck to anything that wants to try to compete with this.
Wow I am suddenly terrible at video games. I died to the first tutorial fight twice on hard. Forced me to play smart.
I'm really into this though. Haven't been this blindly optimistic about a game since Nier Automata last year.
yeah i died a few times on the tutorial fight on hard as well lol, took a bit to get into the swing of combat. enjoying this game quite a bit, combat is super satisfying and the game itself is gorgeous
I don't understand how any AAA titles get made without the ability to remap controls.
How is the default difficulty in this anyways? I usually played the hardest one available on a fresh playthrough of the main series since it actually required you to block/parry/actively dodge, where-as the base difficulty let you get away with mashing for the most part.
And Zeb, if it's simple button swaps, PS4's accessibility features let you switch them around last I checked on a system-level.
You will get your shit kicked in on normal if you don't pay attention. This game doesn't screw around. Going into it fresh on the hardest difficulty seems like it would be suicide.
Unlike previous GoW games there is no trophy tied to difficulty so unless you are masochist I don't see the point of hard or crushing
