Ulfr and Yelta (GTFFXIV podcast) are going!
Will definitely be there! (GTFFXIV Podcast) Hoping to meet many and see some of you guys again!
Going there with the wife and kid. Wife's been working on her Astro cosplay for a bit so I can't wait to see the end of it.
She did mine last year so I can't wait to see how good hers is. Plus I finally got her hooked to the game.
I'll be there this year as well.
Will be there! /
So is anyone familiar with the area around the Paris? Chief priority is not starving to death from Wednesday to Sunday. Recommended places / food budget?
I haven't been to Las Vegas in years but the Paris sits on the mainstrip so you aren't that far from all the restaurants and sights.
It's pretty much in the middle of everything, you can go anywhere on the strip to get food. There's cheap shit like white castle and mcdonald's and also super expensive shit like...well, pretty much anywhere else. We found Ramsay's Burgr (in Planet Hollywood) to be reasonably priced and also delicious. Hotel buffets are something you should check out if you've never been to one, although they are on the very pricy side (trick is to pay lunch price close to dinner hours and stay until they switch the food over lol). I hear there are also hidden bars and pizza places but I've never tracked any down to check them out.
If you have transportation or don't mind taxiing and you enjoy Japanese food, Jinya a bit off the strip is the best ramen joint in Vegas, and it's open super late. There are the bazaars on the strip that house small restaurants and food trucks, I hear Fukuburger is amazing. I would just scour yelp for stuff that catches your interest, though. There are a thousand restaurants on the strip and in the hotels. Any one person's recommendation couldn't possibly be exhaustive because it's not possible for one person to go to all of the places available, even if you live here XD
Sonomaa will probably murder me if we don't stop at least once at the Burger Bar in the Luxor. Pretty good food within the 10-15$ price range.
Also bonus freebies if you compliment the chef.
Otherwise In-N-Out Burger is always good when broke.
