Could the queen had done something legitimate to tell the PM to fuck off?
Scowled more fiercely than normal.
I do love me a British scowl.
So does the French monarchy and they’ve been dead for like 200 years lol.
Yeah, I remember someone working out that even with whatever tourism they bring in the Royal Family generally cost the UK money and France generally eclipses them in tourism anyway.
Enough Conservative MPs have defected from Johnson's party that he no longer has a majority in government.

Aaaaaand defeated. Parliament can now vote tomorrow to block the October no-deal Brexit, Johnson has "threatened" to call a general election if that happens and take the Brexit case to the people. Sounds like an excuse to get out of the mess altogether.

i don't see that a general election would bring any more clarity to an issue that has intractably divided country and Parliament but at this point what else can these feeble governments do.
The moment https://twitter.com/BBCPolitics/stat...96246188625920
You can watch it on twitch, https://www.twitch.tv/ukparliament
Someone apparently bought license from BBC, to stream the broadcast on Twitch.
You can sub for a Bercow AWWW-DAAA emote.
Apparently Parliament and Twitch chat are a match made in heaven

Ever since the 2016 GOP Convention was streamed on twitch I've been a huge proponent that all politics need to be on twitch.
This shit is amazing.
Okay so today is going to be a massive shit show.
I might stay up from work to watch a government fall apart live on twitch.Strap in for another extraordinary day
- 12pm BJ’s 1st ever PMQs
- 12.45pm Javid’s spending round
- 3pm MPs take control. Debate/vote on blocking No Deal Brexit (voting starts c7pm)
- Then 90min debate & vote on PM’s motion for early GE. Vote exp’d 9-11pm. All on @skynews
I'm guessing the US House and Senate aren't a whole lot better, but the British Parliament seems like a complete shit show. It's amazing.
the US legislature has rules of decorum that prevent it, and afaik, breaking those rules is one of the few things that will get the whole membership to come down on their head.
We also have a lot more money keeping everyone in line. The real work of passing laws that our lobbyists want gets done smoothly. Everything else is a shit show to keep the idiot masses distracted.
bill to block no-deal Brexit passed easily, they're currently debating amendments and it still has to go through the House of Lords but barring some shocking mass defection it's done. BoJo almost certainly finna call for a general election in response which would in essence be another referendum on Brexit. spicy island times.
Galaxy brain take is this was the plan all along to give them an out on a second referendum without completely ignoring the first one.
