Since the conservatives are trying to prorogue (recess), hold an election right before the deadline, and basically force no deal by running the clock, it's a good thing.
But the real question is, "Well, what now?"

it's primarily parliamentary maneuvering, Corbyn says he will back the call for a general election after the no no-deal exit on October 31st bill passes the House of Lords and is signed by the monarch. in the immediate future the Tories will likely try to sabotage the bill in Lords and play politics with the delay but the likeliest outcome is indeed another election just one delayed by a month or two.

The filibuster in Lords just ended. Word is some sort of deal was struck to get the conservatives to back down, but no details.

The House of Lord still isn't any kind of representative body right?

If you're a peer of the realm you just get a seat?

no longer, the majority are appointed now but there are still 100ish hereditary peers with seats in an embarrassing remnant of England's feudal past. Labour has moved against the practice a number of times but never brought it all the way home.

Sooo Amber Rudd resigned today. 2nd minister in a week and a senior conservative party member.

    Massive happenings.
Judiciary has ruled the suspension of parliament was unlawful.

No idea what this means other than the clusterfuck continues.

Edit: It gets kicked up to our supreme court.

I feel like Great Britain is trying to have a competition with the United States on who can be the biggest shitshow (Trump gets elected here, this coincides mostly with the Brexit referendum and the ensuing fallout).

I'm shocked the judges weighed in instead of sitting on the sidelines.
