Firion has a QOL update in JP to SAM5

Skygrinder won't autohit though which is what you need blade flash for.

will probably go with the same setup i used for U+ (maria BSB cheese), except stick leon in there since i forgot he can use darkness skills and i have a 5+ magic sword.

Tried the flashing blade strat, only able to hit for ~6500 with mirror of equity up, and I ran out of hones with about 30% left on red soul and the others dead. I'm thinking maria with indonesian blade spamming meteor or RW maria BSB would work out better

so yeah going in with my U+ comp is completely not viable unless i want to H&R for a few hours to build an extra gauge for 1-2 characters, lol.

Mastered CM with the maria BSB RW method, 1 action and 1 damage medal lost

Setup was:

Maria - Meteor r3 / Faith r2 / Devotion
Minwu - Curaja r5 / Shellga r3 / Doublecast
Leon - Sleep r5 / Armor Break r5 / Auto Haste
Josef - Magic Breakdown r4 / Mental Breakdown r4 / Auto Haste
Gordon - Sleep r5 / Haste r5 / Auto Haste

RW - Maria BSB

No SBs were used, everyone had ice resist accessories on. Had an 8* of minwu's SSB staff on Maria and was able to spam command 2 for 19k AoE.

trying to do the double sleeper method, but it's absolutely infuriating. might be a ~5-10% success rate to land, i thought i was being clever by jamming the doublecast RM on leon for a tiny edge. turns out it's 100% useless because it doesn't respect manual targeting, which means it defaults to status-immune enemies first, lol.

The sleep spell and sleep buster are 30% land rate, though that still means you need about 7-8 sleeps to get both ogres slept on average, so you definitely need some luck to get them slept in a timely manner and keep them slept. It took me 5 tries i believe to get good enough sleep RNG to win with the sleep method.

A team mastered with 1 medal lost. Haven't used Cloud's Blade Beam in a long long time. But pretty much blew em up with AoE.

gonna have to go back for mastery, lol. first fight in memory where i've actually run out of cure/lifesiphon hones. clutched it out with a desperation shellga into WotWM to keep leila up for the last-ditch powerchain to kill red into SSB to finish off the last ogre who somehow miraculously slept twice.

definitely should've just made faith and brought that with, woulda killed a turn earlier that way. also mega-fucked up by not aligning my sleep slots

definitely make sure you level josef. most of the reason i struggled with this one was not having access to a second character with breakdown access, so i had to rely on gordon for everything. which also meant relying on goddess bell as my primary mitigation source, which is a bit awkward in a strategy centered around sleeping stuff.
