Did a dry run with only FF8 chars. I don't see how I would beat it without Shout and aoe heal lol Gonna just skip the CM I think.

Did a dry run with A team, Agrias alone get it to near 50% since everyone else was still setting up defensively or healing. I'm not too worried about completion, but certainly not attempting the CM for a while.

took four starts before someone didn't get wrecked getting set up. first time I got set up I won but the fight felt like it took forever, thought I might lose mastery from actions taken. only agrias ran out of (damaging) abilities, but miracle prayer probably helped with that. no deaths

cloud has fenrir overdrive, Greg faithful companion, agrias cleansing strike, tyro SG, vanille miracle prayer.

don't think I can do CM but I'll give it a go another time

edit: God damn it, tyro is in the front row. I always fuck something up.

Completely forgot to equip Fire Resist shit on my dry run, still got it to 60% and was doing decently.

Cloud Blizzaga and Blizzara strike w/ spell blade dmg boost RM
Rinoa with Blizzaja and Blizzara with Blood of the Espers RM
Relm with Curaja & Protectga and whatever the whm version of BotE RM
Ramza with Full Break and Magic Breakdown & Mako Might
Tyro with Power Breakdown & Curaga with Dr Mog's Teachings

That was really interesting! A team master and CM complete separately (used q over irvine in CM since I have a synergy whip and didnt have satisfactory damage output). A team was Golbez (magic lure+blizzaja), edea (inaug parade), tyro (supporty), yuna and squall (jacket equipped). Breakdown/full break cut meteors vs me to about 700 and helllfire to 1k+? I ate 3 meteors in a row with A team but it actually wasn't too bad since I had guessed they were coming from the ticketing system (didn't have a lot of meteors till then).

Honestly I thought he'd be a little harder than he was, we've seen 650 SPD before...

Tried with my magey A team and got him to 5% on my first try. Might give it another shot but I got lucky and he is just insane so I'm not sure how I'll win

I'm starting to feel like my CM clear was incredibly lucky. I've tried with the same team a couple of times and I can't seem to beat it again. I'll have him to the point where there doesn't even look like he even has any HP left... then wipe.

It's total RNG. I had a few runs where he sat there and AoE Firajas three times in the first two minutes. Then one where he just slammed Hellfire or Blaze. Usually as long as he doesn't use Blaze you're fine. Meteor can be mitigated.

Also Quisty capped aja every time and kept up with Rinoa rather well. Thanks to motes she's almost a 5* BLM.

When's the next opportunity for motes?

So the MPO reward wasn't planned, but they'll keep it and give motes later if you completed the fight

Gets hit with Meteor and everyone is (barely) alive. yay
Gets hit with Hellfire follow-up and Yuna dies @ 99% casting on HotF. FFFFFFFFFFF

My main issue was god damn Blaze spam. Jesus christ. I don't think he used a move other than single target or AoE Blaze from about 80% to 20%.

Had to use Tailwind on Ramza and hope Shout lasted at least 2 more turns. Luckily he focused most of the ST Blazes on Ramza so I was able to heal him with Rinoa while Yshtola re-applied SSII.

Used Celes just to mitigate the ST fire spells, but I honed Blizzaga Strike to R4 for this fight so Indonesian Blade didn't play a huge role outside minor damage mitigation.

Was able to master this with help from some people THANKS!

Please note that compared to that picture Tyro was backrow
Goal was to use Edea as MM then BSB then BSB command and used a Ice strike SB near the end, Edea died at 16% not by the timer but Ifrit was bored of her and decided to rekt her

RW was Rinoa BSB and Edea was doing 8k/hit with the BSB command after MM applied

Tried 1 more time subbing Power Breakdown with Armor Breakdown. Got him closer than my last screen shot. So it's really all down to hones for me. I would try Rinoa BSB RW but I need MG8 for hastega + survivability.

i honed armor breakdown from R2 up to R4 for this fight, definitely needed the bump in damage output from that to be able to clear.
