Posting from the library,decided after seeing Rata complete it including CM, decided to try his setup (I also have Edea's SSB ice strike), and managed to BARELY after eating a Hellfire and 3x aoe Firaja near end, kill Ifrit with Seifer's Bloodlust with everyone dead but him and Edea (who was at 1%), mastered it and the CM, ty for the setup Rata, now I don't have to wait till Squall OSB

Actually, 2. Doesnt the new lucky draw banner format change with Black Mage Abyss 2?

If we follow the same schedule as jp, we'd see lucky banners for mote dungeons 2 dungeons from now, but they changed the format of abyss banners on white mage #2 which is 3 abyss events from now. Somehow I don't see them being nice enough to give us 2 lucky banners in 1 month (mote #3 would line up in the same month as black mage abyss #2), so I'm guessing they'll either delay the mote banners or change the format early on abyss.

Japam just had 2 lucky banners in one month so it could happen. I really don't want them to skip BLM lucky because that's potentially really good (it should include a bunch of great BSBs that will be released soon enough, possibly up to Ashe's :D ). Edit Actually no, we probably won't even get Vivi's given the new schedule and possible delays due to Dissidia/Orbfest/Trials.
Either way I finally tried Ifrit and... it didn't go well lol. I'm lacking firepower so I'm afraid I'll need to switch to MAG accessories and try Seifer instead of Quistis. I'm also sure Ice Beaty and Attunement II aren't good enough, better use MAG boosting materia.
Edea was hitting for 7kish per hit, Rinoa around 4200 Quistis was at 3500 with Blizzaja lol, poor thing. My best weapon is Valkyrie though D:

You can always use the Rinoa BSB RW strat. Stack edea with as much MAG as possible, devotion RM, memento mori, then pop rinoa's BSB with edea and spam the defend command (4 hit ice), and everybody else supports. With a synergy weapon (i.e. your valkyrie) she can easily do 30k+ a turn with the burst command. Just need good enough RNG to survive long enough for her to get the job done.

Those are the numbers with her BSB command I still need to add more MAG because Edea ran out at Ifrit's 50% or so and Rinoa was halfway through.

Memento Mori and Dark Zone. If the BSB charges aren't enough she has a way to kill Ifrit or at least try, Rinoa is using Haste and Faith in my setup so there's no point in stacking her.

What's your mag like? Edea is usually the better throughput candidate as you say over rin due to MM.
Q is ah...bad. (I love quistis but yeah)

Quisty was capping damage for me with ja spells and mental bd.

Then again I have ridiculous 8 synergy.

Tried again with the same setup but with Edea and Rinoa stacked with MAG+Seifer tanking, ran out of BSB timer with Ifrit at 20% and couldn't kill him (both Rinoa and Edea had 5 turns too ). Edea is doing like 7100 damage per hit, Rinoa 3600 (my second best mage weapon in this realm is the 3*++ rod <_< ).
I think I'll just ditch mastery and try for the CM only by replacing Full Break on Irvine with Mental Breakdown. Hopefully that's enough extra damage.
