    Commentary
    • The battle starts with 2 Propagators. There can only be a max of 2 Propagators on the field at any point of time.
    • If one Propagator dies, another one spawns immediately. This will continue until the 5th Propagator spawns.
    • You have to defeat all 5 Propagators to end the battle.

    Control the Propagators well with Slow and Blind. Use their weaknesses to Ice to take them down quick. If you have great mage synergy consider AoEs like Meteor / Bahamut / Maduin / Valefor / Shiva.

    Propagators can be annoying if Blind lands. If you do not bring Esuna, it would be wise to use 100% accuracy abilities like Lifesiphon and Pound.

    Shellga should be up at all times, Thundaga hits like a truck if not mitigated. I highly recommend having lightning-resistance equipment on everyone. Do note that having multiple lightning-resistance gear on one character does NOT stack the effect.

    Recommended abilities: AoE, Protectga, Shellga, Esuna, Flashing Blade, Lifesiphon, Pound

    Commentary

    First off, Bahamut is really fast. Slowing him is mandatory.

    Carbuncle is great here since you won’t have to worry about Stop or Thundaga. You’ll have to heal through Tornado and Ultimate Megaflare somehow though. I don’t recommend Carbuncle, especially for the quest.

    If you don’t wish to use the Carbuncle strategy, I would suggest equipping some lightning-resist accessory to reduce Thundaga damage because it hurts a lot.

    As for Ultimate Megaflare, since it ignores RES, you’re going to have to stack Full Break + Magic Breakdown (or even more with other ATK/MAG reducing Soul Breaks).

    Recommended abilities: Slowga / Tempo Flurry, Magic Breakdown + Full Break, Blind Shot.
    Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream, Tyro BSB, Mighty Guard (VIII)

    Rinoa and Squall are solid characters for Ultimate, especially Rinoa with Shiva
    For Bahamut I'd go full physical as he doesn't have any elemental weakness. Can sneak in Edea if you have MM/DZ. Dark Bargain is also quite safe to use here considering he's mostly magical.

    Ill probably skip the cid missions this week - I have no mage SBs at all.

    Squall - BSB and SSB relics
    Laguna - SSB relic
    Zell - SB relic
    Irvine - both SB relics

    ...but no healing or wall (other than selphies default SB), and I don't understand why anyone likes Rinoa or Quistis - I can't seem to get them to put out.

    Sent g/stoneskin would have to be RW'd in for CMs anyway. I think your melee synergy/soul breaks should wreck basically everything? Is there anything you'd need mages for?

    Because with relics they're pretty strong characters.

    Quisty has two hastega breaks and access to breakdowns, can dive to 5* BLM 4* WHM, making her incredibly versatile on a party. Without any of that she's terrible.

    Rinoa is Terra without breakdowns but still incredibly powerful.

    I mean, Cecil is a strong character but useless to be because I only have his DRK relic. With even one relic, Beatrix and Agrias are better additions to my team.

    Rinoa is pretty strong even without relics because she has access to 5* Black Magic and Summons.
    Quistis is just a shittier version of Terra and only shines if you happen to pull one of her (good) relics or invest a lot in her Record Sphere grid.
