Does SE desperately need that extra 6 dollars?

I remember that deal but I thought it was like cheaper price for 14 not 11? but I guess it doesnt matter if the total of both is less than gettin them both separately.
Sub fatigue is an increasingly growing phenomena, too. Assuming you don't just take to pirating everything.
Bruh where the fuck do you live? Movie tickets are 13$ CAD here.
Standard no-frills movie tickets are $6.99~$8.49USD at the AMC near me, so he wasn't far off and I don't doubt that they could be cheaper elsewhere since this theatre is in a major mall
That said I'm p sure it's principle. My fee for XIV (which, granted, is lower than some because I have Legacy pricing) is $8 a month if I buy 3 months at a time, whereas XI is $12.95 a month with no options for bulk time discounts. It doesn't particularly scar me financially to pay that much for it but it does irk me in some respects that a game running on skeleton dev teams and probably near decade old server hardware is charging me over 33% more money than the more modern AAA MMO.
Are we back to the "Is FFXI worth it" argument again?
The answer is no unless you're a rose-tinted fuck from release.
I don't think that was the direction it was going, no, since that's completely subjective.
IMO, it's more a question of the value of the subscription fee, which I would say is a matter of use. Just on a basic entertainment per dollar basis, most MMOs are going to range from being an incredibly good value for those logging in all day every day, and basically just a waste of money for those that wind up not logging in at all during a billing period. Same as most anything with a fixed service fee - the more you use it, the more you're effectively getting for the money.
The flip side is that with little enough use, it becomes illogical to maintain a subscription, regardless of the dollar amount. Lower cost will likely reduce the threshold for that, but there's always going to be a cutoff point.
IMO, reducing or bundling fees is a better solution for retaining players in some capacity. Try to keep things more appealing for folks that might only log in and really do much a few days out of the month, for whatever reason.

FFXI is situational, okay? Discussion over.
FFXI takes time to proc, how I mine for FFXI?
on discount days you can see a movie at the right theater here for 6-8 dollars. There are dollar theaters that have movies at a later date of course. but most tickets start around here in Ohio at 11 or so dollars. if its 3D add 2-4 dollars. if its imax add bout the same.
Shit $1 for older releases!?! The theater here that only does stuff after it leaves the main one is still like 3-4. And the seats are set up that you basically lean out of them but the ones in front of you aren't close enough to put your feet on to keep you in
The regular ones are around $8.50 but first showing of a movie and all of sunday counts as matinee pricing so like $6. 2 bucks for 3D. Occasionally they will play older stuff at the main theater for some cheaper price but it's usually a bit older. Like for a movie in a series they might play the previous ones shortly before it airs or if only a sequel they will show the first one right before the midnight showing of the new one. And then I think every Thursday or so they do cult classics and such
