So my main money league is going to use smash brothers 64 to determine draft order in advance of draft.

Randomizer website to assign 12 characters to 12 people. Then we'll do 3 rounds of 4 character CPU battle with 3 stock to determine seeds, items on. Winners will then face off for picks 1, 2, 3. Losers face off for 10, 11, 12, and so on.

Hey guys, does anybody want to take over my spot in BG West? I can't make the draft date anyway and I'm looking to reduce the number of leagues I'm in...

I love that idea if we all weren't remote.

I was able to do it in a way that it worked out without everyone there (it was just two of us).

We screenshotted the randomizer that placed each team with a smash character. Then we screenshotted each preliminary matchup to determine the rankings. We recorded the entire first match since both the commissioner and co-commish were in it (which also garunteed we couldn't both have a top 3 pick). Screenshotted the scoreboard at the end of each match to show placement. Then did the same for each match that determined the actual draft order, pre and post screenshots. We also recorded the final match which determined the top 3 picks as well and because it had the co-commish in it. He ended up with 2nd or 3rd pick I ended up with 12th as commish. Then I made this awesome fucking visual graphic on paint.net for everyone to see and uploaded all screenshots. Haven't put videos up but will at some point.

Here's the graphic I made, sick skills right? I think I also made it roughly 8.5"x11" so I can print it out and bring it to the draft which we do in person on Saturday via BBQ at one of the houses.


I was a little worried about "tier lists" being brought up, but I looked them up and with CPU on 9 in 4 player and 3 player matches, as well as me getting fucking Fox and coming in last pretty much made them moot.

As long as the initial selection is random then character tiers shouldn't be a problem for anyone. You could assign match outcomes to poker hands for all it really mattered. If anything I think it adds to the fun having a top competitive character left to the hands of the AI
