    Bonus Battles
    Keepers of the Law +
    • Judge Ghis
HP: ~54000 (Judge Ghis), ~18000 each (Hoplites)
Target Score: Defeat Judge Ghis without being KO'd, Reduce Judge Ghis's ATK.
      • Weak: None
      • Absorbs: None
      • Null: None
      • Vulnerabilities: Slow Abilities, Sap Abilities, and Stun Abilities (Judge Ghis), Poison Abilities, Silence Abilities, Paralyze Abilities, Confuse Abilities, Slow Abilities, Blind Abilities, Berserk Abilities, and Stun Abilities (Hoplites)
    • Judge Bergan
HP: ~54000 (Judge Bergan), ~18000 each (Judge)
Target Score: Defeat Judge Bergan without being KO'd, Reduce Judge Bergan's DEF.
      • Weak: None
      • Resists: All Elements
      • Absorbs: None
      • Vulnerabilities: Slow Abilities, Bind Abilities, Stun Abilities (Judge Bergan), Poison Abilities, Silence Abilities, Paralyze Abilities, Confuse Abilities, Slow Abilities, Blind Abilities, Sleep Abilities, Berserk Abilities, and Stun Abilities (Judges)

    Commentary
Judge Ghis: Use AoEs to defeat the Hoplites efficiently. You may want to bring Banishing Strike / Dispel to remove Ghis’s barrier.
Judge Bergan: Keep your party well tanked against magic attacks. Carbuncle reflects some of the magic (except Aero), and Tauntaliate will keep you protected against the blind-inflicting attacks.

Recommended abilities: Multi-Break, AoE, Protectga, Shellga
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream, Tyro BSB

    TOTAL medals = 30 medals
, meaning you can only lose a max of 5 medals to get Mastery.

    Draklor Laboratory ++
    Dr. Cid & Rooks
HP: ~134000 (Dr. Cid), ~34000 each (Rooks)
    Target Score:
    • Defeat Dr. Cid without being KO'd.
    • Reduce Dr. Cid's ATK.
    • Reduce Dr. Cid's DEF.

    Weak: Holy
Resists: Ice Abilities, Lightning Abilities, Earth Abilities, Wind Abilities, Water Abilities, Poison Abilities (Both)
    Null: None
Vulnerabilities: Silence Abilities and Stun Abilities (Dr. Cid), Stun Abilities (Rooks)

    Commentary

Keep your party well protected against physical attacks. Saint Cross and Banishing Strike will deal a lot of damage to Dr. Cid. You can also choose to ignore the Rooks or take them down.

Recommended abilities: Banish Strike / Dispel, Break Fever, AoE, Protectga, Power Breakdown
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream, Tyro BSB

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

    Lighthouse +++
    Judge Gabranth
    HP: ~195000
    Target Score:
    • Defeat Judge Gabranth without being KO'd.
    • Reduce Judge Gabranth's ATK.
    • Reduce Judge Gabranth's DEF.

    Weak: None
    Absorbs: None
    Resist: None
    Null: None
Vulnerabilities: Silence Abilities and Stun Abilities

    Commentary

Another very physical-oriented fight. Draw Fire helps here, but the main issue you’ll face is AoE attacks. Keep your party buffed and I highly recommend stacking Breakdowns with Full Break and/or Multi-Break.

Recommended abilities: Draw Fire + Retaliate, Protectga, Power Breakdown, Armor Breakdown.
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream, Tyro BSB

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

    Hashmal
    HP: ~260000

    • Reduce Hashmal's DEF.
    • Reduce Hashmal's MAG.

Attack: Deal moderate physical damage to all targets.
Protect: Grant Protect to one target (ignores Reflect)
Roxxor: Deal heavy magic earth damage to one target (ignores Reflect)
Attack (Counter): Deal physical damage to one target (trigger: physical attacks)
Quakeja: Deal moderate magic earth damage and sometimes Slow all targets.
Absolute Defense: Become immune to physical and magic attacks temporarily.

    Commentary

Hashmal is pretty easy for an Ultimate. He is pretty tame and most of his physical attacks can be nullifies with Tauntaliate.

Other than that, he does magic earth damage so make sure you are well protected against magic attacks too.

Remember to bring Dispel / Banishing Strike to remove his buffs.

Recommended abilities: Protectga, Shellga, defensive Breakdowns, Draw Fire + Retaliate, Banishing Strike / Dispel
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream, Tyro BSB

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

Full MBarrier: Temporarily become immune to magic attacks.
Kick: Deal very heavy physical damage to one target and grant Haste to self. (trigger: physical/magic attacks)

    Commentary
    • Gabranth starts the battle Hasted.

Judge Gabranth is entirely physical so you can ditch Shellga this time. If you don’t plan to bring SG/SS2 as RW, make sure you have Protectga and also stack debuffs (Full Break + Power Breakdown, more if possible).

Gabranth’s group attacks can be overwhelming so make sure to keep the party topped up as much as possible!

Recommended abilities: Full Break, Power Breakdown / Steal Power, Dismissal, Protectga
Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream, Tyro BSB

Total medals = 18, meaning you can only afford to lose 3 medals to get Mastery.

#1 cause Vaan's BSB is still considered to be one of the best utility BSBs in the game, there has been no other debuff like it iirc.

That RM2 only increases damage with lightning based attacks by 20%. It's a poor choice compared to +20% weapon damage RMs for physical characters which would grant +20% damage on all physical attacks, not just ones matching the corresponding element.

banner 2 is tempting since i never got fran's bow the last time it was around, but i know i'll just end up with more penelo relics or dupes on basch/ashe if i put any meaningful amount of mythril into it. instead, i will pull on banner 1 so i can throw my phone at a wall when i pull my third judicer's staff instead of something useful

I think the next banner format change which results in 2 bursts @ 1% each and 4 ssbs at 2% each is less than a couple of months after this event. Would definitely suggest holding out if you can help it instead of taking the current 3% total chance for a bsb/ssb and almost everything else on the verge of being power creeped out.

3 weeks after this event to be precise, we only have FFT and FF13 banners after this before format change, Dissidia doesn't count since its a collaboration and they usually run concurrent with events.

oh jeez yeah larsa 1 is infinitely better. probably hold out for that instead since i'm not hurting for options in any major category right now.

for you JP-savvy folks, what's fran's second SSB do?

Seven single ranged attacks (1,13 each), ATK, DEF, MAG and RES -40% for 25 seconds aka full break that does 7 hits

Larsa 1 is basically built around Ashe's Burst with some extras thrown in. Her Burst is incredibly good too, there's a video around of Ashe soloing Cagnazzo Ultimate++ with it.

For those who have done this event on JP, how important is Gabranth as a character for U and U+?

    My current FFXII Crew are

    Vaan 80 with Windburst SB
    Balthier 80
    Fran 80 with Shatterheart
    Basch 65
    Ashe 65
    Penelo 80 with SSB

I'm planning to run Basch and Ashe asap from 65 to as high as I can during Orb fest, but i'm wondering if Gabranth will be vital aka egg him straight to 65, or just put him in 1 of my orb fest team

I only used my A team cause I was still a new account when this came, but both are not terribly hard at all (Gabranth is pretty easy even though he hits like a tank). The only thing he brings to the table would be Physical Darkness Skills which aren't that good atm for us.
