Steven Universe Gem Harvest(Thanks giving Special)

This episode had some odd pacing but it was hilarious, the social commentary was kind of on the nose, but I am excited to see the rest of Steven's human family in future episodes.

It's a shame Lauren Zuke left the show, she really knew how to make the Gem hilarious to watch in Gem Harvest and I hope she goes to Disney as they are getting may of CN talent to work on current and upcoming Disney shows.

The Loud House 11 Louds a Leapin(Christmas Special)

I really appreciated the amount of detail they put into the each of the girl and I loved how simple, yet intriguing the plot is. Each Loud member has their own personal fidgets with Christmas. what stood out was how they portrayed the theme of giving. you have a minor character Mr. Grouse, whose always grumpy But then you realize he can’t see his family for financial reasons, and it hits a chord with Lincoln. I did not expect that, and frankly it seriously hit me in the feels. I’m also glad we finally got to see the parents faces, and it will be permanent from now on.

The Loud House Study Muffin


Lincoln gets a tutor and all of his sisters want him. I was hoping for a bit more variety for all the sisters romantic preferences, but the mob of crazy girls works for the plot. I get that this a cartoon and reality is exaggerated but Lisa is 4 and Lola is 6 ,and It’s a little weird for an American cartoon to show them this excited for a tutor. I did laugh when the dad was also into him and Lincoln's teacher dilemma.

I'm happy the shows success and 11 Louds a Leapin getting 2.23 million views and becoming more popular than SpongeBob, I only worry this will turn into another show Nick will milk to death.

My typical Wednesday post:

Hibike Euphonium was fantastic as usual. The twist with Asuka's dad was nice albeit a little predictable that he was her dad, but the circumstances of her family wasn't what I figured and him being a judge for the Nationals was a really nice twist that I didn't see.









Yuri on Ice was a bit of a letdown this week. JJ was awesome (he skated for me and fellow Canadians! ) and Russian Yuri was good too. That guy with the big siscon issue was okay too I guess. JP Yuri's story was really underwhelming though. Yakov being his coach wasn't significant in the slightest, Victor's drama with his dog was underwhelming, and JP Yuri's performance was just kind of standard.

There wasn't any weight to the importance of him needing to podium or beat anyone to make it to the final and I think that was a result of cramming in so many other skater's stories into 1 episode that JP Yuri's was just kind of empty. Not that I don't like the other skaters, they were really good. It was just a result of too much packed into too little time.

the Pilot is so well put together, and I loved the animatic and some fantastic jokes that reminds me of Invader Zim. I was not expecting it to be this good. This needs to be a real show.

That's really good, though I wonder how much of the language would make it on something that wasn't Adult Swim based.

Somehow the idea of a teenager who smokes in high school is refreshing, even though it's the most obvious thing in the world.

Plus magic lol. I love their reactions to everything and it's cool that they don't "understand". Also people having different strategies.
