Yeah, that's pretty much a fault of all modern MMOs and/or why some demand voice chat. Sucks if neither are your thing.

The other thing about mid-combat typing is that even if your role allows some wiggle room for it (PLD and sometimes healers, imo), nobody's gonna read that shit unless you put bells and whistles on it anyways because they'll be too busy doing their own thing.
Dunno about anyone else but each time I see the patch name this plays in my head:

Today’s patch 3.4 preview will give players a peek at the battle with Sophia, one of the three towering pillars of the Warring Triad.
Sophia, the Godess (Click for full image)
History tells of a Meracydian nation comprised of a multitude of races, the foundations of which were built on the worship of a single deity. The "Goddess," as she was simply known, graced the souls of her worshipers with perfect equilibrium, binding their disparate societies in gilded chains of harmony.
In the present day, she is better known as Sophia, one of the incalculably powerful eikons of the Warring Triad. And after five thousand years of imprisonment, her failed plans for vengeance once more threaten to come to fruition. Defeat the wakened thralls and slay the stirring Goddess, lest her divine "balance" bring all the world to equal ruin!

Spoilered for big. Alex gear I believe.
Spoiler: show
Looks like color-inverted Ironworks with High Allagan weapons. I imagine it's a little more nuanced than that but kind of a garish set imo.
Really like this set, probably best one they have made since Dreadwyrm
It does remind me of ironworks+midas alex set in a way. I liked the ironworks gear so I don't mind it.
honestly only weapons looks good, the sets trashy as ever -_-;
Bard is sexy. It's not a bad looking set by far and definitely the best looking Alexander set.
Actually I take that back. Upon 2nd look most of the armor is just a reskin of an existing armor (including bard) with maybe one of two added trinkets on it. That's really sad and lazy for a final raid tier
It reminds me of Ironworks gear but I don't thinks its a ripoff.
The Midas set is my favourite Alex set, but as far as tank gear goes nothing has come close to High Allagan.
3.5 & Additional 3.0 Caps
Spoiler: show
First few are out of place because they were too big for BG bucket.
They from the Soul Surrender website? They're awesome! http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/pr/spe...oul_Surrender/
