If you've played Elder Scrolls Online, then you'll get the combat hook. I enjoy aspects of the combat and the crafting/gathering is pleasant. I'm not a fan of the faction system, world traversal, and I am not entirely sure what the story is about.
I'd wait until post release before deciding (the known issues was the size of a novel), but since the beta ended, I've been really itching to play it more.

Apparently theres some sort of money dupe in the current build, one faction on my server owns 9/14 of the possible zones with 3 unclaimed and the other 2 factions owning one each, including some max level zones right now. You need around 100k gold to buy one region.

Really? I felt that it actually ran surprisingly good on my old setup on high settings, granted I only had time to get to that first settlement, so there weren't that many people on screen

The only issue I have with how the game runs is how hot it makes my laptop, pushing temps up to 93C/200F after a bit.

The dupe: if two or more guild members retrieve gold from the bank at the same time, it will only count as one transaction. The devs were alerted to the dupe late Thursday or early Friday on their bug forum.

So I have seen the game mentioned but had no interest in it before. Think this thread clued me in to the open beta, so I downloaded it late last night, and have watched a few videos from people with far more playtime than me.

- Game is $40 and f2p. All current plans for game shop is cosmetic (emotes and such too). This massively enhances my interest, as a one time $40 without the BS that I see from other f2p MMO's regarding what they want you to pay for is great.

- Game was apparently initially only PvP focused, and they've added in some PvE only more recently. Dungeons seem mostly easy, but one guy went in with a premade level 30 group for a level 25 dungeon and still had a number of deaths on the final boss. Leveling dungeons are almost always pretty damn easy, so I'd say that's decently tuned.

- Game has a DAoC style open world PvP mechanic. Like the conquest system of XI but with Ballista/Brenner instead of a weekly tally, which I think is neat. I'm usually not huge on PvP, but I often love goal-oriented PvP, and this game seems like it'll be quite heavy on that.

I'm really hoping for another beta weekend to cement whether I want to play the game, but I'm currently leaning towards getting it. Will need to find a group/guild/company, but probably start the game mostly doing crafting and gathering heavily.

The lvl25 dungeon was increased in difficulty since the closed beta.

The endgame, that's currently known, is pvp raids, but it's capped on the number of participants. It's something like 50, any more than that and randos will get teleported out of the battle.

The video saying the level 25 dungeon had some difficulty was actually from back in May. Though he said the whole thing was super easy except the final boss. But still, if someone with a lot of MMO experience is 5 levels over minimum requirements and having deaths in a dungeon, I'd say that's probably somewhat difficult.

New NVIDIA drivers today with Game Ready optimization for New World. Might be worth waiting until closer to launch to see if there are any hotfixes though.
