I can't really disagree. I really don't know where it's going at that point, and while I think it's intentionally vague as to the strategy revealed to Caleb in the last episode, I don't know that the reveal is going to mean much to us until season 4 (in 2022, if we're lucky). Furthermore, character deaths mean nothing in this show, and that really weighs down the impact of major story beats to me.

I did notice The Man in Black has turned into The Man in White. And every other character is wearing black at this point.

Are they really saying that Dolores' plan this entire season (and maybe some of last) was to recruit Jesse and turn him into the savior and/or murderer of the whole world? I'm really having a hard time buying into that. Maybe next week will clear things up, but knowing Westworld, probably not.

I honestly don't understand Maeve anymore. Can someone explain her motives?

Yeah, but her actions don't really make sense for that. She's locked away in that other world and Dolores (who she wants to kill) is the only one with the key. And Serac using her daughter as leverage makes no sense either; he can't get there and as long as Dolores is alive, Maeve can join her.

His leverage is basically "Do as I say and I'll let you join your daughter", but killing Dolores won't achieve that. If anything she should want to help Dolores so that Maeve and her daughter can live together. I feel like they're really stretching it with the "save the daughter" schtick just to make her a bad guy.

This whole season is fucking terrible, it's Nolan sniffing his own farts out of a wine glass. If you used same script but hired less recognizable actors this would get shit all over by everyone.
