It's similar, but that kind of imagery for the creation of artificial life has a long tradition in sci-fi and is probably inspired by Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man.

They are probably saving Medieval and Roman worlds for later seasons. Supposedly they have bout 5-6 seasons worth of material planned.

James Marsden said part of the reason the delay in production was for them to sit down and plot out five seasons worth of material ahead of time. So the plan now is for at least five seasons.

As said earlier, there are at least 2 other settings pretty much guaranteed. Roman and Medieval.

I think 3 setting would be the cap for the main show arc. If they continue after 5 seasons, they could branch further out.

Identical premise to Vice - a flop Bruce Willis movie. Reminds me alot of Gamer too. Both terrible flicks largely because of disgusting concept of a future society. This is holding my interest solely to see the "The Island" twist which would have them escape and cause moral turmoil when the "real world" realizes they are now sentient.
