It is sad how lost he is at the plate now. I figured he would turn things around as soon as he went to the Cardinals but ick

I figure it has to be largely mental, there's no other reason someone that athletic with his eye should be so mediocre at the plate

His mechanics are super rough right now. Lots of hitches with his arms and hips. The barrel just drops and he pops up everything. Seems like something correctable but he struggled all season.

I'd like to see Zobrist in RF and Contreras in LF with more regularity but whatevs. Also can you imagine if that fat turd Schwarber was healthy. So much mashing.

Right, just hypothesizing the bad mechanics are a byproduct of mental struggles since he's never been able to get them figured out. Of course being tall and long doesn't help with that.
